Overpowering Sewage smell in bedroom
We were on the top floor of the hotel. On entering the room there was a very strong damp smell in the bedroom. This we probably could have put up with but then we kept getting strong wafts of sewage. It was so strong at times it woke us up. My husband and so. Have asthma and it made us really concerned that we shouldn’t be breathing in such strong fumes. We tried to open windows but they were broken, also a security issue there. We complained and the lady on the desk said they were working on the roof above our room and maybe they had dislodged a sewage pipe. We had to leave after 1 night although we were booked for 3. The hotel refused to give us a refund. Please see photos for other issues regarding the room. I really would not recommend staying there for health and safety reasons. No fire blanket, broken window latch, no visible working fire alarm.

Perfect apartment! Lovely location, lovely room and comfy room. The only downfall is the masses of stairs but can’t be helped. Would definitely book again!

Basic and a little jaded but clean and friendly
Very basic a cramped apartment but bedding/towels were lovely and clean and nice quality. Reception staff were also very friendly and obliging, they were happy to help by providing an extra duvet for us etc. Great location and fine for the price. We would stay there again.

Receptionist very friendly and perfect location . Room is big and coozy enough to stay comfortable, but could have just to clean it up a bit better. There were dark hair in the bedshit and dust on the sofa al thought they had some construction going on so perhaps it came from there. After all recommended.

Great locatio. No COVID protocol except sanitizer by reception. Only 1 reception staff nice and helpful (in hijab). Property not cleaned regularly told too expensive now. Rubbish not collected left in corridor for days after initially disposing of myself....paid for this. Room and fixtures dusty. Poor room cleaning when done - complained. Needs management attention. No night reception but called hotelso in case of problem on your own

In case of emergency, the manager with Met police, ambulance and even SWAT team if necessary may arrive at location in less then 5 minutes. The staff Alan was helpful in taking the luggage as there was no lift. He also very promptly sorted TV arial which had been broken. The room was descent size and comfortable ehough. Some elements did not appear very clean i.e. there were little insects flying around the kitchenette area no cloths in kitchen

Positives - Good location, easy to find. Negatives - Greeted with smoking employees sitting on the steps outside. Room were not as pictures, given room 4. Room 4 is in desperate need of renovation - unclean floor, visible wear and tear (on chair and in the bathroom). Decided to check out after 5 mins and check in elsewhere,

Location was brilliant, proximity to underground station wonderful, clise to heart of London, next to part. Everything was good, except the shower which was old and mouldy. Would stay again definitely. Thank you.

We were stuck in a basement room. The bathroom was covered in mold and mildew, the ceiling was so low in the bathroom that you couldn’t stand up to shower, the bathroom mirror was broken in half and the couch ripped at the seam, the wall sockets in the living room didn’t work. Every time we complained to reception they said they would mention it to the owner who was out of town.

Barely just an "apartment"
Location was great, couple of minutes walk from tube station. Condition of apartnent was just okay. The only difference from being a normal hotel room was the fact it had a microwave and a very very small sink. The cutlery provided was dirty when we arrived and we had to use the bath towels to dry the dishes as no tea towels were provided. No iron or ironing board provided. Water temperature for the kitchen sink and shower only managed to get as hot as Luke warm twice during the week stay. The rest of the time we had to have cold showers. Wouldn't come back in a hurry.

Very low standard - very rundown - poor service...TV remote did not work and they would not fix for the duration of our stay. Did not change linen in 3 days...Did not refill shampoo or soap. Very disappointed with this accommodation.

It gives great pleasure to inform you that non-functional TV-s has been successfully replaced with brand new ones, we are aware this aspect should have been improved a while ago but unfortunately the maintenance team was not available. As per cleaning staff members, some of them will be as well replaced. Full service is provided upon request, as stated on the informations posted on the back of the room door. A few minor mishaps, but worth the value.
The hotel is located right around the corner from a central line underground station so I was very happy with that. It is also located very near Hyde Park so it gave us nice access the gardens. The shower head in our room was broken, but at least it had warm water. The bed was also broken in the corner, but thankfully it didn't bother us when we slept, just if we sat at the end of the bed. The bed was extremely comfortable to sleep in after a long day of walking around London.

Very bad, leaking. Dangerous place to stay.
Basement. Bit grotty. Sink taps coming loose. Electric plugs coming away from walls. Fridge at an angle to floor. About 10pm serious water leak from above, coming in around electric sockets. Assaha said they had no alternative rooms available and that the only way to get a refund was to check out of the room. Unreasonable to do at 10pm. No offer to compensate me. They merely put towel down below the leak. No concern for my safety in event of electrical fire. They claimed leak was from shower above coming through cracked floor tiles. Beggars belief that the water could exit shower cubicle in the first place. Internet connection reasonable with occasional drop outs. Shower actually good water flow, but shower door does not stay closed. Mini TV ok-ish, but very dim screen and remote largely useless beyond very basic functions.

My stay was fine. I had been a student at this property in 1985 so I was coming back to re-live those days. However, as a travel agent I could only recommend this property for those on a super strict budget. My bed was fine, the bathroom, not so much. Even though it had been cleaned, it did not feel clean.
