“Not cheap, but great hotel and service”
two blocks from Glouster Road tube, very comfortable rooms. Great bfst, helpful front desk, great ammenities in room. Have stayed there many times and will do so again. Is getting somewhat expensive but best hotel in the area, and we have stayed at many close to there because of the location.
“Good Location”
Can't comment on breakfast as I had to be at the airport again very early but the staff was very helpful in arranging an early transport to the airport (tube doesn't start operating until 6:30 a.m.) Very comfortable and I lucked out with a corner room so it was also spacious. Easy walk to Kensington Gardens and good access to many area attractions. I found it pricey, but comparable with other London Hotel prices.
“Ideal location”
Our 5 night stay at the Ashburn definitely exceeded our expectations! Ideal location just steps from the Gloucester tube station. The staff (especially the concierge) were quite helpful. Would recommend to anyone and visit again!
“Great place to stay”
The hotel had everything we were looking for. It is close to the tube, on a quiet street, the rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely go back without hesitation!
“Elegant and Roomy in Kensington”
My husband prepared me for a tiny European hotel room. I was so pleased and he was shocked. It was a good size room and very pretty. The bathroom was gorgeous with all new fixtures and heated floors. There was plenty of room for both of us to login to our laptops and do the work we had to do while visiting London. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast had a lot of choice. The room was a little too warm for us but we found the heat on high in most of the restaurants we visited as well.
“Lovely hotel in west end London”
Quiet hotel even though it is next to a busy street. Comfortable bed, Air-conditioned and you can adjust the temperature to your liking. During my stay, I received an extra complimentary toiliety each night in each to the usual shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, etc. I received a loofah, lip balm, mints. The complimentary breakfast was great. You can choose cereal, fruit salad, croisants, dansihes, toast, orange juice, apple juice grapefruit juice, coffee or tea . You can also order eggs [scrambled, poached] for 1.95 pounds or you can order cheese or ham or 3 egg omelette for 3.95 pounds, which is charged to your hotel tab. You also get some free movies on TV during your stay. Useful on Sunday night even most theatres are closed.
“I'd go back without hesitation”
Great value for money in a city that does not always deliver in that respect.
“Great Hotel in a great location”
Stayed for a week, staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything you would need.
“Fabulous Hotel in London”
this was a fabulous hotel. Close to the Gloucester Road Tube Station. The concierge at the hotel was wonderful (and Canadian too). Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, which I expected because of the time our flight arrived, but he stored our luggage (no charge) and pointed us in the direction of restaurants and coffee shops so we could go and have lunch and a drink and look around a little. When we got back, we found we'd been upgraded from a room to a suite and it was ready for us. The suite was large, typically what you'd expect in England - high ceilings, molding around the tops, huge bay windows, king size bed which was really comfortable with just enough pillows and a luscious duvet. Breakfast was included in their dining room every morning - it was delicious. We ordered room service a couple of times - for ten pounds, we got pizza and 2 drinks - not a bad price at all and it was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to London - we loved it and our concierge helped us figure out the tube so we could travel all over the city. I would recommend that anyone travelling to London, go online a few weeks ahead of time, and purchase a visitor Oyster card - you preload it with a dollar amount and can use it right away on the tube, buses, trains, etc . . . the best investment I bought and we used it all over London.
“A hidden gem in London.”
Tried this Hotel on spec based on Expedia 4-star rating and found that it lived up to expectations. Convenient location, close to Tube, smooth service, small operation with friendly but professional atmosphere. Room service a little quirky but otherwise first rate. Went on business would return on vacation.
