“Fab Hotel for First time in London!”
We had a wonderful time in London. The hotel is in a great location and the staff was very helpful. I had read reviews of various hotels about how tiny hotel rooms are in London and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of our room. Yes, it only had one, queen-size bed but that was all we needed. The bath was modern with plenty of hot water and fine water pressure. And it's very nice to have breakfast provided before you head out for the day. The hotel was a block away from the tube station so getting around the city was easy. I would love to go back to London in the near future and would definitely consider staying at the Ashburn.
“lovely and reasonably priced”
I was very pleased with our stay at the Ashburn. The room was small by U.S. standards but comfortable. We had a king-sized bed, which is not typical for a London hotel. The breakfast and internet are free, which is tough to find in London and makes this hotel an even better deal. It is conveniently located near a tube stop. The hotel was lovely and staff were friendly and helpful. I was very pleased with my experience and would stay there again.
“Wonderful neighborhood”
This hotel is a great location for staying in London. It is about a block and a half away from a major tube station which can take you pretty much anywhere you need to go in London. It is walking distance to some of the closer sights like Buckingham Palace and the Parlament, but remember to wear comfortable shoes if you plan to walk back. The hotel was clean, beautifully furnished, and had a decent breakfast included. I will definately return to this hotel next time I'm in London.
“Great hotel stay”
Location may seem not as central but still within zone 1 of the tube. Small comfortable boutique hotel. Room was surprisingly large. Would recommend to others.
“Great Find”
Ashburn Hotel was just lovely. Staff very accomadating and friendly. Breakfast fabulous. Highly recommend. Situated close to tube, grocery store and internet cafe.
“the best neighborhood - would stay there every time”
This hotel is like "family". Wonderful conceirge services and staff. Breakfast was great and the champagne hour too. Great location to access the "tube" and if a walker, this hotel is right in the middle of museums, shopping, restaurants and "food markets (grocery stores)". Rooms are small but then when in London - most are out seeing the sights.
“Not cheap, but great hotel and service”
two blocks from Glouster Road tube, very comfortable rooms. Great bfst, helpful front desk, great ammenities in room. Have stayed there many times and will do so again. Is getting somewhat expensive but best hotel in the area, and we have stayed at many close to there because of the location.
“Excellent service and great staff”
Fabulous small hotel with great charm. Very nice rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Free champagne at 7pm was a very nice touch. Would love to stay here again. Also great location, able to walk to Harrodds and eateries.
“What a great find!”
I booked this hotel for my husband's 40th birthday after reading other traveller's feedback and I was not disappointed. The room was a good size for a London hotel and what a comfy bed!! There was a good selection of food at the breakfast buffet. Staff were really friendly. The little touches, complimentary champagne and turndown gifts, made the stay a really pleasurable experience.
“Fantastic Experience”
Initial disclosure. I have been to London over 50 times in the last decade and have seen it all as far as hotel go. This was a very pleasant surprise for me. I was a skeptic as the price seemed too good to be true with the dollar in the toilet these days. But I left Virgin arrivals lounge at 7:00, jumped Heathrow Express, grabbed a cab and arrived to the hotel at 08:30 and the room was ready!! Smallish hotel, weird front desk check-in - literally one student desk near the front door. Very friendly staff. Wireless internet free. Bkfst free (rolls, cereal, and juice). Have a menu but per usual in London very expensive. Tube 3 minute walk (Gloucester Rd). Grocery store 2 blocks either direction. 10 - 15 minute walk to Hyde Park, Kennsington shopping. Free nightly champagne beverage in lobby bar. Free bottled water in the room each day. Overall a pleasant stay at a great price. Don't expect a lot of buzz at the hotel. This is a small low key place but very nice. One issue is a single small elevator for 5 stories of rooms.
