“Good location, good price, good breakfast, clean (but small) rooms”
This is great hotel if you need to stay a few nights in control London, especially near Euston. The quality of the staff, hotel and breakfast is very high. The reason this hotel is so inexpensive for its location is because the rooms are tiny (really very tiny!). They are all ensuite (with a good shower) and have a flat screen TV and little table and chair and tea/coffee. The beds are fine. They mention clearly on their website that their rooms are small. Please don't stay there if you won't be happy staying in a tiny room, you will not enjoy. If however cost is important and you like friendly staff and a nice breakfast and have no problem with a small room, consider this a recommendation. I've stayed twice and have been very happy each time.
“Home away from Home”
I hesitate to say how friendly this family-run, small hotel is, as when the word gets out it could become impossible to book! The price is reasonable and my room, though small, was quiet, beautifully airy and clean, provided with fruit, nice toiletries and overlooked the garden. Both fresh continental and hot English breakfasts to order were available as was the use of computer/printer/internet. The hostess, who lives on site, was thoughtful, relaxed, personable, generous. I felt like a guest not a customer.
“Very impressed”
Very impressed, even in a single room (Modern Shower and cleaniness all round).
“wonderful stay”
Extremely friendly hosts, great breakfast, clean rooms and great location
“Very friendly hotel”
Great location (couple of minutes walk from Euston Square tube station and also the British Museum), great service and very friendly hotel staff. Single room was comfortable enough and clean but might be a bit on the small side for some. The hotel has a comfortable lounge area. Free wifi was useful. Breakfast was good. I turned up early but this was no problem to the owners. Overall, very good value for money and would definitely go back.
“Vaughan's review”
Very very friendly, could not do enough for you, location was great, very clean, I will be back and also tell all my friends Australia
“A tiny but perfect 'pod' and a friendly welcome”
I stayed in room 7 I think which was tiny but delightful. All the necessary facilities were ingeniously packed into a small space. Everything was scrupulously clean. The shower was a good size and sufficiently powerful. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location of the hotel was great. There was a pleasant view over the back garden and the room was quiet. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Anyone who was more than about 6 ft may not fit into the bed or sit easily on the toilet (the wall is directly in front of it). Or if physically frail may struggle to open the heavy fire door. But, for me it was perfect. The hostess was lovely and easy to talk to. I would particularly recommend this hotel for anyone travelling alone, or who is not from London as I think that the hosts would make you very welcome and it would be easy to get to know the other guests. I have already tried to book this hotel again and been disappointed - I think the secret is out.
“Well positioned, not overly 'prettified'”
When we arrived - few minutes walk from Euston Sq. tube, lifts to street level, on line from Paddington without change - we were invited into the lounge while our paperwork was collected. Then taken to our room and luggage already there! We were upgraded to 'family' room with two singles and one double - too crowded really. En-suite was a module that could have come off a cruise ship, so compact but very functional. We were a short walk to the British Museum, not bad for 'Theatreland' and next road across was Tottenham Court Rd. with Goodge St tube close by. Other direction Russell Sq tube and open top tour bus pick up point. Also easy walk to our favourite restaurants - Istanbul in Cleveland St and Depa Tandoori in Leigh St. The breakfasts were very good at the hotel and set us up well for the day. Overall decor getting a little 'tired' but very friendly and convenient, we felt good value for money.
