base2stay Liverpool is the city's newest boutique hotel, located minutes from Liverpool One shopping district, the Echo Arena & BT Convention Centre, Albert Dock, Tate Liverpool, the River Mersey and Lime Street train station. Situated in the heart of the city, within the historic Ropewalks district of Liverpool, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, base2stay is the perfect base for your visit to our vibrant city.

A total renovation of this 1850s industrial building was completed in July 2010. Maintaining many original heritage features in a cool, contemporary interior designed décor, base2stay Liverpool offers 106 air conditioned rooms, ranging from Super Singles to stunning double height Gallery Suites. We also have six fully accessible DDA rooms and a hypoallergenic room. The hotel has two high speed lifts to all floors. base2stay rates are per room, not per person, so our Superior rooms for up to three, Deluxe rooms and Gallery Suites for up to four offer even greater value. base2stay Liverpool has created 106 exceptional guestrooms from an iconic 1850’s industrial building, in a range of sizes from Super Singles to stunning Gallery Suites. Larger rooms have ottoman, chair beds or sofa beds, with night-lights, and baby cots can be supplied at no extra cost. Inter-connecting and suited rooms are also availble on request. All rooms are non-smoking.

All rooms are air-conditioned with triple glazing and each has a mini-kitchen with fridge, sink, microwave, cutlery and crockery and tea and coffee making facilities, supplied with Fairtrade tea and coffee. Daily housekeeping is a part of our guest services, and irons and ironing-boards can be provided on request. Amenities include FREE Wi-Fi, 26-37 inch HDTV’s with free internet for those who’ve forgotten their laptops, games, 6000 tracks of music, radio, 50 TV channels and video on demand movies at only £1.95 each. 30 minutes of free local and national calls per day are offered to each guest room. High speed VPN broadband by Ethernet is available at £4.95 for 24 hrs or £1.95 for 1 hr.

The on-screen and in-room hard copy of the "base directory" lists not only the hotels facilities and aminities as well as the many world class activities and cultural venues within walking distance of the hotel, but also the many exclusive discounts available to guests of base2stay Liverpool on offer at some of the best bars, restaurants and cafes in the city, with which the hotel is surrounded. Guests are encouraged to shop or order delivery dervices and to take advantage of the savings available from using the in-room mini-kitchen. Breakfast can either be delivered to your room if pre-ordered or a breakfast voucher (£5) can be purchased in advance or at reception, offering a choice of great value alternatives within a short walk of the hotel.

Excellent price to quality relationship. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms are basic but this is the way the hotel advertises itself. This is all one needs (and More) for a visit to the city.

“Unforgettable stay”

We spent 1 night at the hotel and the experience has been great. The style of the hotel, the room...everything was perfect. The hotel staff were extremely helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everybody that wants to spend some nice days in Liverpool.

“Modern hotel with good rates”

Base2Stay Liverpool was a fairly new hotel when I stayed there in 2010. It's within walking distance of the Central station, although you must walk past quite a few pubs on your way so plan your arrival accordingly. Similarly, it's within walking distance of the Tate, the Maritime Museum, the International Slavery Museum, and the Beatles Museum, among others. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, although they took a great deal of time explaining everything about the hotel. The room was clean but not terribly large. The decor was a bit modern for my tastes, but was pleasant enough. The bathroom was well laid-out, with a wonderful shower. Technology seems to be emphasized, with WiFi and interactive tv prominently displayed. Likewise, rooms use RFID keys for entry, as do the elevators. There is no breakfast, but there are restaurants and food options available nearby. The desk would be more than happy to answer things things in rather great detail. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

“Liverpool short break”

This is an excellent hotel in an excellent location. The first night was very quiet and relaxing but the Friday night was different. The hotel is in the partying district of Liverpool. There was a lot of noise outside the hotel until about 3.00 am and quite a bit inside as there were some girls on a hen night. I put in my ear plugs and slept through it all but my wife was very disturbed. Putting that aside the hotel is great and is in a location for easy walking access to all the main sights. I would recommend it.

“Sleek, comfortable functionality in the heart of Liverpool”

"You got Ikea in my hotel!" "You got hotel in my Ikea!" Two great tastes that taste great together. Base2Stay combines fantastic service, free wifi (an apparent rarity), an incredibly convenient location, and splendid modern appointments. We walked in fifteen minutes from Lime Street Station, and there was no shortage of fun nightlife or tasty food options within a five-block radius. Should we find our way to Liverpool again in the future, we have our hotel. Book without hesitation!
