“Très bon hôtel”

Tous les sites se font à pieds de l'hôtel ... et pour les moins courageux, 1 station de métro se trouve juste en face de l'hôtel.

“Great place to spend first night in Portugal”

After 30 hours of travel, it was auspicious to have chosen such a nice and not too expensive hotel to stay for our 1st night in Portugal. TripAdvisor guided me to it. Clean, stylish, comfortable, great breakfast, good advice on our transportation needs for the following day, wonderful view of Avenue Liberdade and Lisbon’s signature ochre colored, red roof tiled buildings beyond from our window. We went on to Porto on the train the next day. Next time, if there is a next time, I will stay longer.

After six trips to Lisbon this hotel is the best as a place to spend the night, get up in the morning and wander, return to prep for the evening and head out into the city again, only to return for a great night's sleep and a wonderful hot shower. Also, the linens were really good. Take advantage of the metro nearby!

very well located, tube station Marques de Pombal less than 5 minutes walk, 10 minutes walk to the center, very clean, recently renovated hotel, everything was just perfect, room size, bathromm with power shower, excellent bed confort and I even had a cake and cava in our room for my birthday !

“Good hotel, handy location”

Hotel was good standard and very clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location - at the top end of the Av de Liberade but right next to a metro stop. Would recommend it.

“Perfect Base for Exploring Lisbon”

I was very pleased with this hotel. The staff was very pleasant and helpful - all spoke English which was a plus. The front desk was courteous and willing to help out with any matter. The maid service was efficient and gave any extras that were needed. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom spacious, and the shower had great water pressure. The breakfast was a typical European breakfast which was just fine for me. The hotel is located just north of the city center - close enough to walk yet far enough away to be in a quiet area. If you're not interested in walking, the metro station is right outside the door and there are plenty of buses about a block or two away. If you're looking for a hotel with a lot of amenities, I would recommend you stay somewhere else. However, we left the hotel after breakfast and never returned much before 11:00 p.m. so we just needed a clean, efficient hotel and Marques De Pombal was it. Even a tour guide we hired for a day trip felt we made a great choice. I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone looking to explore the Lisbon area. The price, staff, comfort, and location all combined to make this a great choice

Marques de Pombal Hotel!!!...what a pleasant surprise....located in the heart of the city....Metro is right across the hotel....bus stop couple of blocks away....walking distance to restaurants & attractions....courteous and very attentive staff....clean and comfortable room....can't wait to go back!!!!
