“A Great Hotel in Lisbon”
We stayed at the Hotel Tivoli Lisboa for one overnight before taking a trans-Atlantic cruise. We reserved a mini-suite and it was wonderful, inmaculate, absolutely confortable and luxurious. We recommend it without reservations.
“Perfect location”
Not knowing anything about Lisbon, we wanted to stay somewhere close to attractions and restaurants, etc. This hotel was definitely that and more. The staff was especially helpful and kind. Only negative was the hairdryer in the room was very weak and would barely work, I had my own, but I couldn't get it to work with the converter and it burned up.
“Great hotel”
Lovely and convenient location, rooms on back of hotel are quiet, top floor terrace dining room food and view are great. Only drawback was that air conditioning did not work in late April.
“Good location, good service, reasonable price”
We spent 3 nights in this hotel, wanting to see Lisbon. Both the hotel itself, it's location and the possibility to round off a busy day by the pool was greatly appreciated. The hotel is close to bus transports (e.g. to the airport), and bascially everything else is within walking distance (0-2 km).
“Could not fault the hotel”
The location of this hotel is fantastic; about a 5 minute walk from the centre and about a 2 minute walk from an underground station. It is apparently on the most exclusive avenue in the city centre but we encountered a lot of beggars. They rarely approached us but not what you want to see on a holiday nonetheless. The twin room we got was a great size and the beds were bigger than a single (not as big as a double. The view was onto the side street which was quiet enough (other than when there was an argument amongst some street sellers). The air conditioning/heating was extremely efficient and the room was spotless with the sheets changed daily. The breakfasts were excellent, albeit busy, with a wide selection of foods . However, always plenty of food. The staff were all very courteous and helpful. I couldn't say that the majority of them were overly friendly as such though. Overall, it is quite an upmarket hotel and tends towards formal. However, entirely suitable for a sightseeing trip.
“One of nicest city hotels I've stayed in”
I travelled to Lisbon in October 2006 for the Estoril Moto GP. The hotel was even better than we expected. The rooms were lovely and the beds were so comfortable. The whisky bar had a great atmosphere. We liked it so much we are booking to go back again in September 07.
“Excellent Place to Stay in Lisbon”
This was a great hotel in a perfect location. Close to food, shopping, and the Metro. Short walk to the park was great on a cool sunny day. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. Free internet access in the lobby was an added bonus. I think this would be a great hotel for leisure or business travel to Lisbon.
“Great Hotel”
The hotel was great, the service was first class and the location was fabulous. The staff were very helpful.
“Excellent hotel”
