CLOSE TO QUÉBEC CITY USING THE FERRY

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Pros: LOCATION
Cons: QUALITY AND SIZE OF BATHROOM TOWELS. DESIGN OF THE BATHROOM IS VERY POOR FOR A NEW HOTEL.
Location: YOU HAVE ACCESS TO HISTORICAL SITES LIKE MR ALPHONSE DESJARDINS FUNDER OF CAISSE POP.,MUSEUM DAVIE SHIP, AND MORE.
WE REQUIRED A QUIET PLACE AND CLOSE TO OUR FAMILY REUNION FOR 2 NIGTHS. PRICE WAS HIGH BUT IT IS PART OF THE GAME HIGH SEASON AND A LOT OF DEMAND

Stopover point to/from the Maritimes

Posted 11-Aug-2014
Pros: - location - hot tub - shuttle to ferry
Cons: - room conditions
Location: - close to highway - complimentary shuttle to ferry
This hotel has several things going for it: The location of this hotel is great if you are driving from Ontario to the Maritimes. It's approximately half way and close to the highway. The spacious hot tub is welcome after several hours of driving. The shuttle bus to the Levis port where you can get a ferry over to old Quebec city without the hassle of driving/parking is definitely a nice feature. The rooms are clean. Our family has stayed here a few time on such trips. However, this time I noticed that the finishes within the rooms are looking a bit worn - dinged woodwork, hooks falling off walls, etc. A mini-fridge would also be a welcome addition. There are definitley less expensive places to stay in the near vicinity. For the price we paid, I expect better upkeep.

Not recommended for families.

I booked this hotel based on Expedia room description. We arrived with our 2 young kids to find no fridge, no microwave available (although we requested while booking). The room is so tiny and lacks the basics: no coffee table, no extra chair to sit on. We had to eat on the floor to have a surface for our plates. The bathroom is also very tiny (tiny sink and bathtub). The overall room design is not comfortable at all. I do not recommend this hotel for family travel.

Quebec trip

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Hotel not on river as indicated. Takes at least an hour from hotel to actually get to Quebec. Hotel room very cheaply done..furnishings poor and bathroom poor lighting and thin towels. Not the usual caliber of a Sheraton. Walls were paper thin..heard people next door and above. I would recommend staying in Quebec..not that much more expensive.

Sophisticated, functional, east access for tourism

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: Easy ferry access to Quebec city, free parking
Location: Take the ferry to Quebec City, Hotel offers free shuttle to ferry station, or you can park at the ferry station for $8 - $15
We wanted to visit the Quebec City and we booked this hotel which had a very friendly staff, nice rooms with a bar, restaurant (called Cosmos) and a convention center. We could have taken the shuttle to ferry station but instead decided to drive and parked at the ferry station (2.5 miles away). Ferry takes you to heart of Quebec old city and tourist attractions. The rooms were nice, with all modern amenities.
