Pros: The bed was comfortable. Received a wake up call as requested.
Cons: Ensure bedding/pillow cases are always washed. Ensure internet service is reliable. Lower the rates or improve the quality of stay (overpriced)
Location: Lethbridge Alberta
Internet connection very poor even when physically connected to laptop. Was unable to check email. Turned laptop off. Coffee maker was not clean. No fridge or microwave in room. Television was often very grainy. Shut off after 10 minutes. Poor accommodation for the price. 2 Pillow cases were wrinkled as if they had not been washed.

Nice Hotel, Good Rate....

Posted 13-Aug-2014
Pros: The staff were prompt, courteous and addressed all of my concerns.
Cons: I would avoid the Denny's attached to the Hotel.
Location: I didn't explore the area. I left immediately the day after arriving.
First room that I was given was in truth a little scary. The hood of the air-conditioning unit had been removed and was tossed casually aside. You could hear pigeons nesting in the unit on the outside of the building, and the room was severely dated. The floor also smelled of cigarette smoke, a testament to the clientele and not so much the hotel. When I called the front desk, the clerk immediately addressed my concerns by upgrading me to a renovated room, much more comfortable with a duvet, on a different floor. And that's when I saw the value of this hotel. As long as you get a renovated room, this hotel is a magnificent value, comfortable and staff where very helpful. I received the kind of service one would expect from a much classier hotel. Thank you Sandman for making my stay great.

Sandman Hotel, Lethbridge

Posted 7-Aug-2014
Cons: Time to upgrade the rooms. Maybe get pillow top mattresses.
The hotel was an ok place to stay for one night. Little pricey for the décor. The lobby seems to be updated but the rooms are old and run down. Bathroom had new counter top/taps but seemed out of place compared to rest of the room. It was quiet on the night we stayed. Would not want to stay longer though. Beds are hard. Air conditioner was old. It did work but noisy. Close to Highways and has a Denny's right in the hotel.

Convenient location, comfortable beds, quiet hotel

Posted 6-Aug-2014
Pros: comfortable beds and pillows, quiet, clean rooms and well appointed bathroom.
Location: Alberta Birds of Prey, Evergreen Mini-Putt, Lethbridge Corn Maze, Obstacle course at Lethbridge College.
They continue to upgrade this Lethbridge legacy. It is a very convenient, clean, safe hotel to stay for us. We find the beds very comfortable, well appointed bathrooms, quiet rooms. We always have a good night's sleep here. The pool is small but still enough for swimming laps for some exercise. The staff are always friendly and helpful. We have a number of options when we visit Lethbridge yet we continue to chose to stay at the Sandman.

Needed a place to stay overnight

Posted 15-Jul-2014
Pros: hotel itself was easy to find, clean and bright
Cons: the location of the hotel was "sketchy" - the parking area was dingy and a bit scary for 2 women arriving at night.
Location: close to train tracks so noisy at night
room was clean and comfortable - could hear folks in the hallways and when the guest room doors would slam.

Good Location Easy To Get To

Posted 30-Jun-2014
Pros: It was easy to get to by car and close to downtown.
Cons: The massive pothole at the entrance should be filled in. The check-in desk should be moved away from the people walking past the guests checking in.
Location: Good location with all the usual things to do in a city.
Nothing really special about the hotel. It's adequate for a short stay.

Wouldn't come back

Posted 30-Jun-2014
Dirty floors and tub. Walls doors and hallways all dirty, scuffed up. The floor was not vacuumed at all. There was plastic wrappers on the floor from the previous guest. At least the bed was clean. The tv did not work in the room neither did the hair dryer. Really unfortunate time spent.

Dirty and rundown

Posted 29-Jun-2014
Check in was simple enough, but the elevators smelled like a bad outhouse on a hot day. Once we got into our room we found hair all over the comforter and the tv was like watching something with rabbit ears attached from 1982. No movies were available and the shower was always lukewarm. The most off putting part of the stay was the smell of rancid beef stew wafting through the halls. At first I thought this was the Denny's but I stayed on the top floor so I ruled that out. I used to love the sandman chain but after this experience I think I'm done.
