At LERMAR to drive to small villages north and south Great home base in historic building Very nicely done restoration of rooms with lovely marble bathrooms with Victorian size bath tubs, luxurious linens and beds , wonderful views etc Out of seven hotels I stayed in , it was the best and a bargain at the price.

Room was dark with a single small window, not at all like the picture when I booked. No comfortable chairs. The cafeteria/bar area is beautiful but so busy it is hard to find a seat and with only 2 wait staff and no on site bar (meaning wait staff had to go somewhere in the back to fetch all food and drinks) it was very slow. We waited 20 minutes one evening and 30 minutes another time before giving up. Other Paradors, like Soria, have a separate section for residents.

Beautiful location, incredible and historic place. While the chicken was simple, the service in the lobby for drinks that evening was extremely slow and unfriendly. For breakfast the next morning they attempted to seat the six of us in a small room off of the main dining area, we did however push so that we could sit in the more beautiful room, although used three separate tables for two.

Stunning Parador Stay
Beautiful parador in Lerma with free parking at the front of the hotel. Unfortunately many places dont open on Mon and Tuesday so maybe best stay later in the week. The room was stunning with fabulous views and food drinks reasonable.

Good, but could be better
We have stayed at this hotel many times and it ticks most of the boxes. It’s in a beautiful location n the centre of this picturesque town. The rooms are a little dated but full of character. The restaurant is expensive and not brilliant and even in the warm weather they refuse to open up the terrace for residents. Instead we went across the square for tapas outside. The breakfast is also pricey at over €15 pp. Otherwise good.

Not the expected standard
Food was rather disappointing. Previous night we stayed at the Parador in Toledo and it was excellent. The standard was not the same. Room was incredibly stuffy. Staff pleasant but service below par for the price and not as good as Toledo. It’s a shame there was nothing about the history of the building on the walls. I wouldn’t come back to this particular parador.

Lovely place to relax before a drive to South of Spain. Spent 2 nights to allow a day for exploring. Would definitely use again. Also secure under ground car park as we had a car full of valuables.

A wonderful and authentic character hotel
The little town of Lerma is very pleasant with plenty of bars and restaurants. The parador is the focal point and has been sympathetically turned into a hotel from a ducal palace. The restaurant is excellent and the service is very friendly. The only criticism is the bedding in the rooms. I think sheets and blankets are very dated for hotels these days.

Parador Trip Home August 2020
Fantastic Parador in a lovely small town which has a great atmosphere. We were given a second floor room that looked directly over the main Square. Also really enjoyed dinner in the hotel garden which had very well spaced tables which made it very comfortable in current pandemic situation. Safe undergrounf parking is a bonus in a very hot August 2020.

It's a beautiful building, the old Duke of Lerma's palace made into a hotel. The restaurants left a lot to be desired in the hotel, you are better off eating out.
