“Excellent place to stay close to Washington DC”

My son and I planned to bike 50 miles on the C&O Canal Trail on the Potomac River to complete a requirement for a merit badge to help him earn his Eagle Rank in Scouts. We needed FLAT so we chose the C&O. We started at Brunswick MD and wanted a very comfortable place nearby for us and the support team. I did not know about the Homewood Suites but gave it a try. We were very surprised with the quality of the hotel. We had a terrific suite that was large and comfortable. The quality was terrific and my wife, hard to please, LOVED it. When we drove to the hotel, it was in an odd place - around a few corners from where I'd usually expect to see a hotel and there were lots of people milling around with police out and about - but it seemed like a decent neighborhood. There was no trouble and we thought the place was terrific. You'd never get this quality and size at such a good price in DC and we were only 25 miles away when our team extracted us and got us back "home" in one place. Then the hot tub came in handy. We will definitely go back next time we to DC.

“Nice Hotel”

The hotel was great. I could work at the desk in the bedroom while my husband and daughter watched cartoons in the living room. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly.
