"Fantastic accomodation in the Cotswalds"
We stayed for a 3 night break in the Cotswalds and couldn't have been happier with the Five Alls. Extremely comfortable room, excellent food and perfect service. Highly recommended.

"Lovely location"
All was well until we arrived at our next hotel, having walked 12 miles on the Thames Path. Our bags had not arrived as promised by three separate employees of the Riverside. No one took them from our room and put them in a cab as promised. It was straightened out through the efforts of Jo at the Trout at Tadpole Bridge.

"Hotel with character"
I stayed here for 1 night last week and was very pleased with the hotel. We didn't book until the very last minute and the owner let us check in very early (around 12ish) which was very helpful. The hotel itself was in the process or being refurbished which was great to see as the hotel was looking a little tired in some areas. The bar was full of character - two huge log fires and a nice mix of locals and tourists. Good variety of homecooked food at very reasonable prices - I can recommend the extremely tasty curry! Lots of parking space at the back and a huge lawned area over looking the river - great for a peaceful afternoon in the sun. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us and we thought overall it was great value for money - particularly as the amazing cooked breakfast was included! We would certainly recommend and look forward to staying again in the Summer when more of the refurb is completed.

"Beautiful B&B, excellent facilities"
Waiten Hill Farm is a beautiful B&B. My room had everything I needed and more...an extra radiator heater in addition to the central heating, spare blanket and pillows in the wardrobe and a nice selection of toiletries. The bed was very comfy and it was very quiet so I slept really well. Breakfast was self service which was ideal for me as I was up and about early both mornings I was there. The gentleman who checked me in was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely stay here again.

"A Warm Wiltshire Welcome"
This apparently recently refurbished hotel has been very tastefully and sensitively decorated to create a warm, calm and friendly environment. The completion of the reception area (work on-going June 2015) will no doubt ensure the final jigsaw piece is in place for a high quality welcome. Everyone from the French Manager (no doubt ensuring culinary excellence) to the Bar and Waiting team members did a great job of making me feel at home. It's not often on my travels that everyone makes you feel valued. The room was very clean; the bathroom in my room was very well designed (I took a photo to steal a few ideas for back home). The rooms were named with an entertaining twist with the room number embedded in the text. Despite it's proximity to a junction that was quite busy in rush hour, the village was relatively quiet at night. My bedroom was within the central horseshoe of the building well away from the road. Because of it's period nature, some of the staircases offer a challenge to those returning from an evening in the bar, however this rustic charm felt very appropriate and far better than losing the character. Being an old coaching inn, the entrance to the rear car park is quite tricky as the narrow passage, fine for medium sized cars was, at around 1.95M, 5cm narrower than my 7 seater people carrier. However, with one wing mirror folder in, it's quite possible to navigate through. Next time I'll take one of the small number of pavement spaces at the front.

"Night out"
Excellent evening meal, great breakfast, staff who without exception knew what they were doing and did it efficiently and with a smile, only slight negative would be the bathroom which while perfectly adequate and gave no cause for complaint, would not want to be any smaller and was ready for a refresh. I would, and am very likely to, go back!

"Central, clean and friendly"
I enjoyed staying at the Red Lion - it was not my original hotel but since mine burnt down it seemed a good and financially viable alternative option. In the centre of Faringdon, there are plenty of cash points/restaurants/shops nearby, while the staff were helpful and supportive when necessary. Breakfast was simple but pleasant and the pub itself seemed nice and welcoming. The room was tidy and clean, the bed re-made in the day, and tea and coffee was provided. On the negative side, I found it somewhat difficult to sleep because of an incessant buzzing from what I can only assume was a boiler or something near the front of the B&B accommodation, which was audible even when down the corridor with my door closed, and could be slightly heard with the TV on. I don't know if there's a solution but you might want to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper (as I am). I would also recommend that they leave soap on the sink in the bathroom! Apart from those pernickety issues, I enjoyed my stay and (if the buzzing is addressed!) would happily stay again.
