I booked a room at the casino resort and found out our room was in a totally different building well separate from the casino, pool, dining etc. It wasn't terrible, at least it was quiet, but it was inconvenient and unexpected. Staff were friendly and let me check in early, but they're very short staffed.
Very well kept . Friendly people. Good free breakfast..

Nice rooms
Hotel rooms are nice with comfortable beds. Carpets need a good shampoo. No restaurants open weekdays. Casino is tired looking and smoking is everywhere.
I didn't have very high expectations going in because of the fact that it is not that expensive to stay here. Most casinos are rather pricey. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was your typical hotel, nothing spectacular, but the beds and pillows were super comfy. I will book a stay in the future and go back. I would highly recommend checking out the casino too! We did fairly well and had a good time and it was really neat that it was on a riverboat.
No hot water for shower, shower was gross with chunks of hair. Hotel was actually across the street with no shuddle had to walk back and forth in rain. Big 2 inch gap at bottom of door let lots of light in. We will never be back!!
This casino needs some major help. the room was clean but the carpets and grass areas surrounding the property were in bad shape. There were only a few portable stations to wash your hands. Masks were required but there should have been multiple areas to wash your hands since you are playing on machine. Very disappointed and most likely will not return when there are other casinos in better shape.
We waited to check in almost 20 minutes. There was no one at the front desk. Had reserved a room with two Queens. The resort had us down for one king. Had three adults in the room and when I called down for an extra towel I was told I had to bring down the dirty towels before I could get more. WHAT??? The carpet throughout the establishment was dingy and even heavily soiled. I like to take the stairs instead of the elevator. It was so filthy, I actually expected to see rats running around. Thank goodness, I did not. The room itself was comfortable and seemed clean. The bed was comfortable.

I want to apologize for the issues you experienced while staying at Rising Star Casino Resort. We always strive to meet guests’ expectations and appreciate your feedback. Unfortunately the power outage was beyond our control and is inconvenient for our guests. I hope you choose to stay with us again in the future.
Aside from being across the street from the casino, the hotel wasn’t bad. It was clean and quiet. The bed wasn’t very comfortable. The casino itself was very old and run down.
The facilities are nice. The Lodge didn’t have desk clerk service (Cov-2 related) which made it difficult when the desk clerk at the main facility gave us the wrong room number at check-in. Added 15 minutes to getting into the room.

The lodge was nice that we stayed in But very disappointed in the casino
Stayed at The Lodge across from the casino. Was clean, quiet and had everything we needed. Only downside was not having front desk staff. Had to go to the other hotel at the casino for check-in and check-out.
Mostly closed on Sunday night.
Golf course staff made it clear they were anxious for us to leave course as soon as possible, that they wanted to end their work day. It was really inexcusable and extremely disappointing. We drove from out of town to be there and were made to feel unwelcome.
We stayed at the Lodge and it was very nice. The website said they didnt have a front desk clerk and the Lodge doesnt but you check in at the main hotel connected to the casino. They have a shuttle that runs between the main hotel/casino and the lodge. Housekeeping staff were very helpful and professional.

I was pleasantly surprised how nice and clean the lodge room was and casino same. First time I visited.
I wasn’t impressed with the slot machine areas. None of my favorite machines.
Had a great time! Four floors to gamble on, the Wellington was a pretty expensive place for dinner; definitely recommend eating BEFORE heading there if you don’t want to pay $140 for two people! But, overall had a great experience here!
