“elounda bay palace”
“Delightful experience”
My elderly mother and I had a wonderful visit to the Elounda Bay Palace hotel. We loved the quiet elegance and the wonderful service. The pools and provision for sea swimming were excellent. The dining staff were especially helpful. All staff were welcoming and efficient. We especially liked the coffee lounge and the gentle live music accompaniment. The grounds are beautiful and the view from room stunning. This was a happy return visit for my mother who had stayed in Elounda in the seventies. Highly recommended.
“Loved the service, food, and setting”
My son and I stayed a week at this hotel during the first week of June. It wasn't crowded. There is something for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the large salt water pool and the padded chaise lounges with umbrellas. There are three restaurants, a taverna, and poolside cafes. The food is wonderful, but pricey. It is an easy drive to Knossos, Iraklion, and inland.
“Superior in Every Way”
Elounda Bay Palace is a wonderful place to stay. I just came back from a trip to the Greek Isles, and in my opinion, Crete was the highlight, as was Elounda Bay. The staff was incredible hospitable and welcoming, the grounds were gorgeous and lush, and the room (which was one of the cheaper rooms) was clean, comfortable, and attractive. The food is terrific (the maitre'd makes you feel as if you're a guest in his home), the pool is serene (careful - it's salt water), and the beach is gorgeous. (There are two actually, both little coves that are clean and wonderful for swimming and sunning.) I can't say enough good things about this place!
“Great Hotel, Great People, Crazy Price”
I rated this hotel perfect mainly because of the people. The service was great, the area was beautiful. This hotel is more like a 4 star by appearence. Maybe its rated 5 star because of the level of service they provide and by the area it is located in. It was quite expensive but I think it was worth it. I enjoyed my stay there and will go back again.
“Amazing Hotel”
We stayed at Elounda Bay for our honeymoon and we loved it. The staff is friendly and efficient. Everybody is nice and they give 200% to make you feel like a real guest. The facilities were spectacular and the room was clean. We found fresh flowers, and a bottle of wine in our room. The breakfast is served in this amazing terrace, overlooking the ocean, and the breakfast buffet is just great. They make fresh omelets, waffles, eggs, etc. etc. The restaurant in the bay is a little pricy, but the quality of the food and service is not comparable to the other restaurants in the near towns. We definitely recommend it.
“quite nice”
slightly disappointed that the swimming pool was not heated (even though it was advertised so) because it is end of season (Oct). Also half of the restaurants were closed but it was easy enough to go to the sister hotel's restaurants which was nicer. They should have mentioned that some of their facilities would be closed in Oct on their website.
