The Tropicana offers a total of 1,375 newly renovated guestrooms in the Paradise Tower and the Club Tower. The 22-story Paradise Tower is just off the casino floor and features views of the Las Vegas Strip. The 21-story Club Tower is located near the Tropicana Convention Facilities and the tropical pool area. It is connected to the main casino by a covered walkway.

Decorated in a sunset palette, the spacious guestrooms feature original artwork, custom designed furnishings, and ultra-plush beds with 300-thread-count linens. Rooms are also outfitted with chaise lounges, desks, and white plantation shutters. All accommodations include 42-inch plasma HDTVs, wireless Internet access, and iHome docking stations.

“Las Vegas's best kept secret - comfortable and relaxing”

I first had the intent of finding a "cheap" hotel on-line so to take advantage of last minute specials in Vegas. After all it was only days away from christmas and thought I could match some luck with lower hotel expenses. I have been to Vegas before and have an opportunity to stay in the "luxury" hotels on the strip, so I figured why not -checked out expedia rates. The Tropicana has its history (and orange colour), but I found the it very relaxing and comfortable. It was not out-of-the-way, it was actually within reasonable walking distance to all the other (over-priced) hotels my friends were staying in. if you are like most folks travelling to Las Vegas, you will find that a good hotel, regardless of price - will only be used for sleeping, showers and storing luggage until its time to go home.

“Excellent value”

I've stayed in most of Strip hotels over last twenty or so years, but this was my first stay at Tropicana. Interior has been renovated, and even though it does not feel new, everything works, and feels modern. Room is big enough, in-room safe can handle a notebook AND a SLR camera. Unfortunately the pool was closed (December), but the deck area looked nice.

“best value for your money on the strip”

okay - vegas is vegas. everyone goes for different reasons. If you are going to experience the experience - you want to be on the strip and tropicana is. Its a bit north but that means easy walking distance to mgm, nyny, excalibur, luxor or mandalay bay (with a free tram also between e,l and mb). If you stay in the paradise tower you can be 3 minutes from your room, to the elevator (many and quick), to out on the strip... not too many other hotels have that boast. Rooms are large and clean. nice views from strip or non strip side. now if you are wanting to gamble... probably not the best place in the strip to do that from. Overall - for the price paid even with the $15 resort fee pretty good for the location and convience. Starbucks is a few steps away from the elevator too.. so that makes for an easy morning coffee !

“Good place to stay”

Everyone was helpful from printing boarding passes to telling us about buses and shows that were currently playing in Vegas. Rooms were clean and made up each day. Nice to have safe in dresser so important papers can be left behind.

Area recommendations

Tropicana is a good spot as it is close to lots within walking distance. Also close to buses for which you can buy a 24 hour pass to ride.The bus also goes to the airport so we were able to max out our ticket by using it for that, but do check the schedule as it runs about every early 40 minutes in the morning .

“Vegas Dec. 2011”

Over all was satisfied with my experience at the Tropicana, especially for the price... I also would rather pay the resort fee than be fee'd to death at other hotels that claim "No resort Fee" but then charge you a fee for everything... On issus is I developed a rash while staying there... It may just be a reaction to the soap the Tropicana uses whether it be laundry soap or just regular soap... If it doesn't go away soon I'll have it looked at to make sure it's just some kind of allergic reaction and not something else....

“Viva Las Vegas”

This was our first time staying at th Tropicana. We arrived early,and the reservations staff were more than happy to accommodate our party and had rooms available for us. Our rooms were very large, clean, and the whole hotel was beautiful after the rennovations. Our bags were delivered promptly to our rooms. The dealers and pit bosses were extremely friendly, and table limits stayed reasonable throughout the night. The Nikki Restaurant was delicious, and all the staff there were extremely friendly and helpful. It was one of the better breakfast buffets we have attended. The location is so convient with access to several other hotels, and we never even had to take a cab. Would highly recommend the Tropicana to anyone who likes a smaller scale hotel/casino.

“Ahhhhhh.”

This hotel was a nice quiet retreat, just what we needed to recharge from busy Vegas. It was bright, clean, comfortable, and I loved the faint coconut smell! Our friends who stayed at neighboring hotels for the same rate where quite jealous :)

Area recommendations

Vegas is a lot bigger than we thought- the blocks are long! We wish the Trop was in the center of the strip.

What to pack

A heavy jacket and gloves in the winter, it was really cold! Comfortable shoes.

“Convenient”

I chose this hotel for price not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. I came for the Las Vegas Marathon and it was busy so I didn't expect to have luck with an upgrade. I was upgraded to a strip view tower room and had my resort fees waived right off the start. (*be nice to the desk clerk!) Everything was clean and well maintained. I did miss having a coffee maker in the room, but there was a starbucks right at the bottom of the elevator. No, this isn't the fanciest hotel on the strip, but the convenient location, comfortable rooms, and excellent value will bring me back.

A long walk from the rooms to the casino. No refrig. or coffee maker in the room. A problem they MUST solve to get me to stay again!
