Nice hotel with good food

Posted 29-Mar-2015
Pros: Large room Good food in the Beach cafe
Cons: Fridge in all the rooms
Location: Good location near other hotels. It is next to the MGM so you can get the monorail if you don't fancy all the bridges.
We chose to stay here as it was a good price for a Hilton hotel. When we arrived we were upgraded as part of the nectar VIP package and we were given a large king size room with views of the Luxor and Excalibur. The room was very bright and airy and nicely decorated. We ate breakfast in the Beach cafe and it had a really good choice. This hotel has less shops and dining options than some of the others but I thought the interior was a bit nicer. Tropicana is situated next to the MGM so you can get the Monorail up the strip if you don't fancy walking it.

Pros: beautiful pool setting....too bad some of it was closed....not sure why...???
Cons: the deli type coffee shop (South Beach) closed too early....sometimes you need a snack a bit later....including the night we checked in
Location: close to everything on the strip...even the local transit
THe hotel was excellent...clean and comfy....our room was on the airport side....so kinda noisey!! We had a great time in Vegas....and the illusion show at the hotel was amazing!!

OK Hotel..close to a bus stop.

Posted 28-Mar-2015
Pros: Staff are very friendly and helpful. Casino is nice. Short drive from and to the airport.
Cons: Restaurants aren't that good. The tub in the room could have been cleaner. Don't bother getting the "Comp Card" waste of time
We stayed 4 nights in March and we had a good time.

Close to strip

Posted 28-Mar-2015
Pros: Location was decent. Bus stop right out front will take you all the way to Freemont and back. Windows can be opened in our room.
Cons: Bar wenches need replacing! Coffee maker in the room! Eighties carpet in the hall very outdated look. Hotel room very plain Jane compared to mgm.
Location: Location is great, nice casinos on each corner. Bus out front.
No coffee maker in the room........major let down lol. If your playing slots, forget about being served anything! Bar wench must've gone by me 40 times! wifi did not work at all! Only wifi you could get is if you paid 10$/day, blatant rip off when it's supposed to be included with the resort fee they nail you with!

Nice midprice hotel

Posted 28-Mar-2015
It's actialy quite nice, rooms are good, pool is a little concrete jungle like but decent drinks. Only thing was there were several very drunk women (saw three in the two days we were there) and I feel like the hotel should have intervened when they came in.

Nice accommodation

Posted 27-Mar-2015
Pros: Close to the strip on the southern end.
Cons: Check in and out...More people would be awesome.
Location: Across from MGM.
Initially we requested for a 2 Bed room but they were all out upon check in. They gave us a 1 bed room and a $75 credit which we used for breakfast. Overall I liked the stay.

Pros: I think it may be one of the quieter hotel casinos on the strip and that was fine with me. The entire place was clean and staff was friendly.
The only thing I didn't like was that the small convenience type cafe was not open most days early in the day even though their hours were clearly posted stating that those were hours of operation.

Smoke

Cons: Reduce or eliminate smoking
I would love this property except smoking is everywhere and it stinks.

Very disappointing.

Posted 22-Mar-2015
Pros: The concierge was very helpful, and maintenance staff that came to tell us we would have to move were very polite and brought us coffee.
Cons: Pretty much everything!
Location: Good location at the south end of strip.
Had never stayed at the Tropicana before, but the price was right. Will never stay there again, no matter what the price is. It is old, and looks it. Had to be moved because our shower was flooding room below us. Room was not properly kept - did not throw out garbage, did not replace bottles of water, played slots in lobby and never saw a waitress, lost a camera lens cap down elevator shaft, told several staff members about it, could see it on floor, but never got it back. Shower head was placed for someone about five feet tall.
