Great hotel for the moneyPosted 29-Aug-2014
A great value for dollar hotel /casino. The tropicana is in a great location, its a short cab from the airport, and a great room. No complaints

Nice hotelPosted 29-Aug-2014
Enjoyed our stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Water pressure wasn't great, but would stay there again. Beach Cafe is good and convenient, open 24 hrs. The pool is very nice, plenty of chairs and towels available. Gaming tables selection could be better, but adjacent hotels provide better selection.

Tropicana Las VegasPosted 29-Aug-2014
Pros: The beds are super comfortable.
Cons: The unpleasant smell that meets you at the lobby and right after you get off the elevator.
Location: Very close to the south end of the strip.
The walk to the tower is way too long. After a long day at the strip, it would be nice to just walk a few steps to your room. The hotel lobby doesn't smell very well. I don't know if it's the combination of smoke and old building but I wish they would do something about it. When you get out of the elevator, you're meet with a very unpleasant smell. I have to say though that the beds themselves are super comfortable so that kind of evens it out. Good distance to the south end of the strip so lots of walking if you want to see the free activities in Bellagio (water and light show) or Mirage (erupting volcano). Not much activities for children aside from a pool so it's a long way to walk to Mandalay and Mirage to see the shark reef and the secret garden. I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you're on a really tight budget.

Great for the pricePosted 28-Aug-2014
Beautiful pool. Bungalow rooms very conveniently located and some have balconies. No good food options and smoke smell in casino is very strong. Staff was friendly. Overall a good value for what we paid.

classic old vegas with a few flawsPosted 28-Aug-2014
Cons: keep to agreed price and make sure 'nonsmoking rooms' are actually that
Location: mgm, ny ny close
nice hotel but the nonsmoking room reeked of stale smoke and the 'resort fee' stated at $19.95 mysteriously turned into $22.95 at the front desk. other than that quite acceptable

Great stay!Posted 28-Aug-2014
I spent 4 nights here an everything went great. Mind you when your on vegas how much time do you actually spend in your hotel or sleeping ? not much! but from my experiecene, there was Lots of friendly staff outside front doors always Saying hi and greeting youz Nice and clean when you walk in. No gross smoke smell as in all hotels you can smoke. Check in and check was fast and professional . Rooms were good. Hotel I a bit on the older side but cleaning staff did good to make it feel clean . I would come back for sure .

Hotel Staff was excellent.Posted 27-Aug-2014
Pros: It's on the strip-close to the airport--not too large and a very accommodating Staff.
Cons: Housekeeping-some times come late in the afternoon. I like mornings.
Location: The surrounding Hotels have lots of entertainment and shows. You can shop nearby instead of the hotels.
I have stayed here before. Very comfortable. Not to large--but I like that.
