“A first class hotel”

For most travellers this would not be a choice of hotel because it is not on the strip, but it does have a free shuttle bus to and from the airport and the strip. I am not a gambler, I go to Las Vegas to see a friend. The hotel was first class, the room was tastefully decorated, light and airy, very comfotable king size bed, very clean and the staff were extremely helpful. The hotel has a very good buffet and cafe. It also has the usual fast food outlets in the casino, quizno's, panda express etc, it has it's own cinema and bowling alley. Across the street is the Galleria shopping mall, but I would not try walking there you have to negotiate a very large confusing road junction. The Galleria is a first class shopping mall, making Bluwater and the Trafford centre look like flea pits. There are also lots of good restaurants close by, Mimis, The Cheesecake factory, The Olive Garden, Appleby's and lots more. The casino in the Sunset looks the same standard as any strip casino but not being a gambler I can't say if it is. But if you want to go to Las Vegas but don't want to stay in the hustle and bustle of the strip I can't reccomend the Sunset Station highly enough.

“Good Deal for your money!”

The hotel is in surprisingly good condition for the money. The lobby is your "standard Vegas" ... But there is ample parking, a large pool with spa that is very well kept and has lifeguards. The elevators are private (for guest only) and very quiet. Our room was a pleasant surprise - beautiful with a view. If I were to criticize anything about the room it would be the shower-bath. At first I thought it was dirty and it was hard to get the shower to work. Then I realized that they have "hard" water and that is the reason for the stains in the tub and the condition of the faucets. Otherwise the room was really nice! There are several restaurants in the hotel. The surrounding neighborhood is really nice - lots of stores. I found COSTCO across the street where I was able to gas my car the next day before heading to the Hoover Dam! All in all, this is a good bargain and I would consider staying there again.

“Very nice place to stay”

We decided to stay another night in Vegas and chose the Sunset in Henderson. A welcomed surprise. Reservationist was very helpful and nice. Room was attactive and very clean. There is a little something for the whole family to do. Cinema, bowling, casino, arcade. We ate at the oyster bar and it was excellent. Prices are really reasonable.

“Very impressed”

Since I booked online I wasn't sure what to expect but my room was very nice, clean and had recently been renovated. I didn't hear noise from the rooms around me or above me. Lots of places to eat, has a cinema with top shows, fast food restaurants and a shuttle to The Strip which was great. Parking lots have security driving up and down rows, security guard is at hotel entrance to see room key. The pool is awesome and you can rent cabanas for the day. There is lots of shopping around the hotel as well as restaurants. I am definately going back.

“A taste of the Vegas area”

The hotel was a great place to stay. We chose the hotel mainly for the location. The plan was for sight seeing at Hoover Dam and the West Rim of Grand Canyon. We didn't want to stay in the heart of Vegas, so we decided on the Henderson area. The Sunset Station had everything we needed under one roof. A very comfortable room, lots of dining options, a movie theater and a bowling alley. We really never had to leave the building for anything which was nice after spending the days driving around the desert. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Vegas area.

“Très bon hotel de périphérie”

Très bon rapport qualité/services. Le fait qu'il soit excentré par rapport au Strip est marginal si on dispose de sa voiture car on peut garer sa voiture gratuitement dans les hotels du coeur du Strip (Bellagio, Caesars...)
