“Absolutely excellent!!! Great family hotel!!!”

Just got back from staying 5 nights at the South Point with my husband and two six year old children. We enjoyed the fact it was away from the craziness of the strip. Everything is new and ultra clean, the service superb, and the rooms spacious. The pool area is very nice, with a huge, lazy river type jacuzzi (which was really nice for this time of year when it was too cold to be in the pool). My kids loved the HUGE childcare centre which has a huge play structure plus a ton of other activities to do --- provides a good opportunity for parents to get a few hours of alone time in the hotel to play the games, or relax. We would definitely go back to the South Point.

“Great Choice !”

Stayed at the South Point for 3 nights (April 15-18/07) with my husband, daughter and 5 year old grandson. For a first time in Vegas, we could not have made a better choice. Although a little away from the strip, the 15 minute ride by car gave us a chance to see the sights and the lights at night. Daughter did not have a problem with the Hotel shuttle to Mandalay Bay or the Airport on the night she left. Beautiful clean and well appointed room and bathroom. We had a spectacular wiew of the pool and mountains off in the distance. Spacioous Casino and wonderful food, Check out the " Graveyard Special " and make us of the coupon book given at check-in ! Would recommend to families or anyone wanting all the ameneties and them some, away from the madness of the strip.

“A very enjoyable stay!”

Rooms were comfy and well-kept. All hotel staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Buffet and other restaurants on the premises had enough food choices that we enjoyed. Did not miss being on the strip! Make sure you use your coupon book - gives a lot of free extras.

“Beautiful resort off the strip”

We stayed 1 week & were extremely pleased & impressed. Excellent resort and extremely affordable. Very large, new, modern room with a king size bed. Large bathroom with a separate sink/mirror area. Great buffet restaurant...food was very good and a good variety. We were also very pleased with the pool area. It was very clean, lots of chairs, beach towels provided, great music on outdoor speakers, palm trees...beautiful. We would definitely recommend this to all & hope to go back again in the future. It was a bit "off the strip" but there's a convenient free shuttle that goes often to the strip with friendly knowledgeable drivers.

“Great Hotel”

Our room was located on the 22nd floor overlooking the west side where the pool is located. The room was very large with a king-sized bed and a large flat-screen tv and most importantly- very clean. The only noise to be heard were the doors closing to other rooms as the doors are heavy and close very quickly on their own. The buffet was just "OK"- I've had better food at other casinos. The only downside to this hotel is the location- it is about 3 miles from the heart of the strip. I would definitely stay here again.

“Affordability”

The South Pointe was very affordable compared to other hotel chains. The Beds were just like sleeping in your own bed not a bad nights sleep in 10 nights. Only thing I would recommend if you are doing sight seeing you should rent a car, it's about a 30 minute drive from the main strip.

“Excellent if you want to not be in 'the zoo'!”

This is an excellent hotel if you want to be away from the zoo of the strip, have a very good room at a reasonable rate, and relax a little in Las Vegas. It is far enough from the strip that you must have a car; previous reviews discouraged us from trying the shuttle (too long) and they were probably right. We found it easy to park somewhere on or near the strip when we wanted to go down there, and it was easy to get to the evening shows we attended. The fitness room is excellent and little used. The pool is nice if perhaps a little loud. The casino was fine, with advantageous rule breaks. Room was extremely modern. Highly recommended, but not if you want to be wandering the strip late and then drive home!

“A good place to stay”

I stayed there for 3 nights, and was very peaceful, clean and safe place. Especially that it is not far from the fun places and it is not also at the center of the hectic downtown. And the price is affordable. Overall it surely is a good place.
