“Beautiful resort off the strip”

We stayed 1 week & were extremely pleased & impressed. Excellent resort and extremely affordable. Very large, new, modern room with a king size bed. Large bathroom with a separate sink/mirror area. Great buffet restaurant...food was very good and a good variety. We were also very pleased with the pool area. It was very clean, lots of chairs, beach towels provided, great music on outdoor speakers, palm trees...beautiful. We would definitely recommend this to all & hope to go back again in the future. It was a bit "off the strip" but there's a convenient free shuttle that goes often to the strip with friendly knowledgeable drivers.

“Great Hotel”

Our room was located on the 22nd floor overlooking the west side where the pool is located. The room was very large with a king-sized bed and a large flat-screen tv and most importantly- very clean. The only noise to be heard were the doors closing to other rooms as the doors are heavy and close very quickly on their own. The buffet was just "OK"- I've had better food at other casinos. The only downside to this hotel is the location- it is about 3 miles from the heart of the strip. I would definitely stay here again.

“Affordability”

The South Pointe was very affordable compared to other hotel chains. The Beds were just like sleeping in your own bed not a bad nights sleep in 10 nights. Only thing I would recommend if you are doing sight seeing you should rent a car, it's about a 30 minute drive from the main strip.

“Excellent if you want to not be in 'the zoo'!”

This is an excellent hotel if you want to be away from the zoo of the strip, have a very good room at a reasonable rate, and relax a little in Las Vegas. It is far enough from the strip that you must have a car; previous reviews discouraged us from trying the shuttle (too long) and they were probably right. We found it easy to park somewhere on or near the strip when we wanted to go down there, and it was easy to get to the evening shows we attended. The fitness room is excellent and little used. The pool is nice if perhaps a little loud. The casino was fine, with advantageous rule breaks. Room was extremely modern. Highly recommended, but not if you want to be wandering the strip late and then drive home!

“A good place to stay”

I stayed there for 3 nights, and was very peaceful, clean and safe place. Especially that it is not far from the fun places and it is not also at the center of the hectic downtown. And the price is affordable. Overall it surely is a good place.

“Great Value”

When we reserved these rooms on line at a very discounted rate we were concerned that the hotel would be a poor place to stay. Not true at all. This is a great place to stay. A little of the strip but by today's standards a very easy drive. It's a great place to stay, very clean rooms, staff was friendly and pool was great during the 110 degree weather.

“WOW!!!!!”

My wife and have traveled all across the US and Mexico and this was the best valued vacation we have taken thus far. This is definitely a great stop and should be in the frugal brothers handbook for vacations. This resort was extremely clean from the front door to the pool. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The first night we were put in a room with two queen beds and on a different floor than the other party in our group, so I asked to be moved the next morning and it was done with an apology and a smile. The food was good and inexpensive. I had a list of cheap eateries on my to do list but never bothered to look at it because there was no need. Also, the coupon book they give you is tremendous. Please don't forget the spa, it is to live for. A relaxing steam bath followed by a stint in the hot tub, then over to the water massage, then to the lounge with 3-50 inch TV s and as much juice and fruit you can handle. I could sell vacations for South Point or continue writing this bog but I must get back to work. Thanks South Point for making 4 Texans feel right at home.

“Excellent value”

South Point was excellent value for money being off the strip with a free shuttle. Plenty to do for the non-gambler with pool, bowling, cinema and restaurants and strip only 15mins away by shuttle. Could benefit from a lounge area where you could go for a quiet drink.
