Long walk to room. not good view of strip.

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: The bargain deal with the flight and hotel accomodations & complimentary buffet.
Location: Convenient walk to MGM grand and to Excalibur and Mandalay Bay hotels.
My stay at the New York,New York hotel was ok. I expected more than what was described as four star hotel. My room was long walk thru convoluted halls from the the elevator. Room was small compared to similar accomodations at other hotels on the strip. I had a window view of the back lot and hearing the roller coaster activity.

Fine hotel - nothing special.

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: Loacation. Activity level. Smaller size.
Cons: Little bit of a face lift. Room toiletries. Addition of tea and coffee in the room.
Location: Everything is close :)
This hotel is certainly less opulant and a little more tired than many others on the strip. The room toiletries were of a particularly poor quality. However, it was perfectly acceptable in terms of cleanliness and is well located. Its middle of the road quality makes it a little quieter than many other hotels and, in Vegas, that has its value.

Nice Hotel on the Strip

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: The cleaner fresher air in the casino and restaurants. A real effort is made to minimize the smoke and keep it cool
Cons: The worst part was the walk from the self park to the check in and then the walk to the room. It must have been a mile all total
Location: All the major hotels and shops are within walking distance
Stayed two nights with my spouse. The rooms were clean and the AC kept it quite cool. The beds were very comfortable and it was dark and quiet enough to sleep in way past sun up. There were many people there but it was not noticeable as it was possible to escape the crowds and rest in our room. The staff were very friendly and interested in where we from and what we wanted to experience during our stay. The Irish Pub and the Italian restaurant were superb. The food was fantastic and the live music was very enjoyable. We are not big gamblers but enjoyed the various games. Definitely would go back for another visit

Tourist trap!!!

Posted 24-Aug-2014
...but still nice and fun hotel. Staff are nice and helpful, knowledgable. Tons of tourists walking around along with the usual parties. Good hotel for families with small kids. VERY expensive overall. We got sick of LV after 4 days, and were ready to go home! Nonstop dance music in casino/lobby and even louder at night...

Extremely pleasant. Had a great Time and would stay again. Would be good if there were more gluten free food options available.

My favorite casino in Vegas!

Posted 21-Aug-2014
Pros: Comfortable feel, plenty of really good restaurants and quick food that is great quality. Nice casino with plenty of tables and games. Great staff!
Cons: Hotel room just can't get as cool as I would like. But that could just be me.
Location: Perfect location on the strip to head east or west. Went both ways on separate days and loved returning.
It is the most intimate feeling Casino in Vegas. I like to hit the strip all day and visit others, as well as Freemont street, but when you get back to NYNY you feel like you've actually left the strip for your own little village.

nice hotel that is quite unique

Posted 21-Aug-2014
Pros: Although a bit dated compared to the newer hotel along the strip, the service staff was quite pleasing
Cons: signages
Location: the usual casino, fun rides and nearby shopping
checking in was pleasant, with good valet parking. rooms were reasonable and comfortable, except for the long walk along the corridors to get to the rooms, signage not too distinct and often one can missed the entrance to the elevators. Nice interior decor that gives a feeling of being in New York, some nice restaurants, the Chinese (Chin Chin) was quite good and serves pretty authentic Chinese food
