Awesome hotel

Posted 19-Apr-2014
Pros: It was a lot different then all of the other hotels, there was so much to see and keep busy with. The staff was great.
Cons: Tell people about the additional fees you have to pay at check in for the WIFI, pool, gym, etc. at time your rooms are reserved and paid for!!
So much fun! It felt like you were really in New York, the details were awesome! The staff was friendly and helpful. Waitresses got drinks to you very quickly.

Had a great time at NYNY

Posted 19-Apr-2014
Just stayed here with my wife for our first time in Vegas, and it was great. Rooms are nice, and everything was clean. Was able to check in a little early and staff was very helpful. For the location, quality and price you can't beat it! We would stay here again for sure!

Not helpful

Posted 18-Apr-2014
Pros: There was a good variety of restaurants.
I was traveling as a family of 5, we missed our flight home due to unusual circumstances and no one from the hotel was willing or able to help. Difficult to find 5 flights over the telephone and iPhone for 2 adults and 3 children. Room was just fair. Pool closed at 6:00. Roller coaster should have been discounted to at least hotel guests if not complimentary. Sensory overload.

New York New York

Pros: America hasn"t embraced the no smoking indoors policy we have here, the casino area can be a bit smokey at times, but that goes for all the hotels
Cons: No smoking
Location: Right on the strip with all main Las Vegas attractions nearby, a must is a helicopter trip to the grand canyon, we did it with Maverick, brilliant
Very clean room, good view of the strip for an extra $4 dollars a night. Staff friendly and very helpful, good restaurants, bars, grills and diners in the hotel. Hotel well placed on the strip bang opposite the MGM Grand.

A little disappointing.

Posted 18-Apr-2014
Pros: The restaurants were very nice. The set-up of the hotel was convenient. The Italian restaurant 's food was phenomenal.
Cons: More elevators. No unexpected fees. Staff more accommodating when problems occur.
The room was very clean and beautiful. Disappointing was the hotel key to get into my room never worked. The elevators ran so slow, and hotel registration staff did not attend to the problem of the key not working. The pool was so cold you could not swim. Charging an additional 20.00 a day for Wi-Fi, and the workout room was outrageous. I am on vacation, no need for Wi-Fi or the workout room. I came from Wisconsin for the weather, gambling and relaxation at the pool.

Nice rooms and restaurants, but some problems

Posted 17-Apr-2014
Pros: Nice rooms, nice staff, comfortable beds, good food
Cons: Better sound-proofing, easier way to get to the monorail, faster food service at the pool (doesn't open til noon, takes 30 min. to get anything).
Location: Not the best - too far down the strip. There are free trams to Mandalay Bay one direction and Bellagio (thru the Monte Carlo) the other.
Pros: rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, the beds are comfortable and the restaurants are good and reasonably priced. Cons: twice there was a lot of noise in the hall that kept us awake at 3am, unless you want to ride the roller coaster the hotel doesn't have much to see or do besides gambling (e.g. the shops are not extensive or exciting), the pool is in shade until almost noon because it's surrounded by buildings, and it takes forever to get to the monorail that goes down to Harrahs (all the way thru the hotel, up the escalator to the bridge and across the street, escalator into MGM and all the way through MGM--which is a long haul, look for signs for "The District" because there's only one Monorail sign in MGM) so if you want to see shows or shop or just look around in other hotels it's hard to get to them.

Awesome Room, Service and Hotel!

Posted 17-Apr-2014
We LOVED staying at the New York, New York hotel! Our room was huge and comfortable. The service was incredible - especially the room service. And almost everything we wanted was right inside the hotel! Loved going to Nine Fine Irishmen every night for live Irish music, awesome drinks and fun dancing. Loved our time there. Where will we stay for our next Vegas trip??? The NEW YORK, NEW YORK!
