“I would stay there again”

“LaQuinta not a Strip Resort, but a nice clean room with no surprises.”

The LaQuinta was on average $40 per night more expensive than the "Super 8 style" alternative, but it was well worth the "upgrade". The rooms were new, or at least felt as if they were, The lobby was clean and simple. I only had 2 issues that would make me think twice about returning: First, the remote did not work, which was simply a case of dead batteries, but something that should be checked during daily housekeeping. It's not a big deal on it's own, but are other, more important maintenance issues being overlooked? The second, and much bigger reason for me to think twice about returning: the hotel's cable does NOT have SPEED TV. This, too, wouldn't be a big deal if this hotel wasn't 3 miles from Las Vegas Motor Speedway, catering largely to race fans, myself included. I was here for a smaller event at the "Bullring", but had I come for a NASCAR weekend, I would have seriously considered moving. Bottom line, if you're coming to town for a race, check first about SPEED TV, if that's important to you. If not, LaQuinta is a great hotel, at a great bargain, away from the Strip. It's a bit more expensive than the lodge/hotel chains, but think of it as a room upgrade that's well worth the extra cost.

“Just what we needed. Will definitely come again”

This hotel was just what our family was looking for. I was able to swim and relax with my brother-in-law and teach him how to swim. The pool was very clean, nobody else using it, undisturbed. Jacuzzi was very clean as well. Maid was very friendly and accommodating. When I told her we had a baby breastfed she was very understanding and didn't get upset. Staff was overall friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was fresh and lots of options, we made our own waffles. Just nice, nothing could be better except the A/C in the room was a bit loud and stayed on all night though we up-ed the thermostat. Will definitely come again next time in Vegas.

“Great place to stay”

Found hotel on expedia not knowing Las Vegas and the area at all. When pulled up, was a little concerned about the area. After we checked in and asked some questions, we felt more at ease. The room was great, kids liked the pool, right next door to a Walmart (yeah) and easy to find. About 1/2 hour from the strip but thats ok it was not really our main objective anyway. Would definately come again.

“"Very nice"”

The rooms and hotel were very clean. the staff was very nice. The continental breakfast was a big disappointment, it was holiday weekend and they only had 1 little older lady working the breakfast room to a full house of customers. My husband and I had to go down to the breakfast 3 times to finally get some food as every time I went down there was no food available due to the volume of other customers of the hotel and that there was only 1 person trying to keep everything filled up. The surrounding areas close to the hotel are declining due to the people living there and makes the safe feeling not a good thing.

Area recommendations

The Vegas strip is very interesting and bright in the heart of Vegas. The Hoover Dam is educational to the west. It has a major speedway for nascar in North Las Vegas.

“VEGAS NASCAR AND THE LAQUINTA AGAIN IN 2012”

Got entire trip for 4 airfare, 2 rooms and a car for the NASCAR race in Las Vegas. One of the best trips of my life. If I can get the same race tickets next year we will do it again. Thanks again expedia.

If you want a break from the strip. Nellis is the place to stay and convenient it all attractions.

“I will definitely use this hotel again.”

We always go to the races in Las Vegas, and this hotel was just down the road. If you don't want to worry about all that Strip traffic this is for sure the way to go. Wal-Mart is just behind the hotel if you somehow forgot anything or just need to stock up. The area directly surrounding the area was clean, but obviously don't go too far, it is north Las Vegas. I didn't see anything that was questionable during my stay though. We'll use this hotel again in the future.

“Great stop-over hotel in the Southwest”

The most amazing free breakfast of any hotel we visited - a full hot breakfast with eggs, potatoes and pancakes. They have a very friendly, helpful staff. it's close to restaurants, has a nice clean pool and large clean rooms. I'd stay here again anytime.

Must see

This hotel is very close to Antelope Canyon, the most amazing and most photographed slot canyon. They recommended the lower canyon, a great choice if you can use narrow stairs. You don't need one of the many tours you will see on the street, just drive up and the guides are there. Most beautiful in the morning.
