It was a great hotel. I loved the pool, an the casino it's nice too. great security. The hotel very clean.

“Excellent hotel”

Recently stayed at Golden Nugget instead of usual hotel on the strip- so glad we did! Super clean hotel, friendly staff- our room was recently renovated, and while there was no view, the room itself was well very nice- bed was SUPER comfortable and bedding itself was amazing! lots of fun being right on Freemont st- only a short trip on the deuce to get to our favorite restaurant on the strip. Casino was great as well- great dealers in poker room, very helpful staff on craps table walked me through my first time at the game. already know we will be staying there again next year, for sure. Side note- we were married in the chapel upstairs during our stay. Silke, the coordinator, was very helpful arranging everything over email and phone- our small ceremony was tasteful and perfect!

“Excellent experience”

We stayed on the Strip the last time. So we decided to stay in Old Town this time and by far we WAY loved it. Fun time, good service, food decently priced and souvenirs affordable! Loved it!

I loved this hotel. i have always enjoyed the laid back environment of downtown vegas versus the strip. The pool was wonderful.

“CAN'NOT WAIT TO GP BACK!!!!”

I THOUGHT IT WAS A AWWSOME HOTEL, PEOPLE THERE WERE VERY FRIENDLY EVEN THE GUEST. VERY CLOSE TO THE STRIP A COUPLE OF MINUTES AWAY IN THE CAR.. A STARBUCKS IN THE LOBBY., A WALGREENS COUPLE OF DOORS DOWN..VERY CONVINIENT... I WILL DEFENITELY STAY THERE WHEN I GO BACK AGAIN.

“Definitely Try It!!!”

I already posted a review a few days ago, but I want to address some comments I read from other hotel guests about paying a lot of money for cabs to the Strip. Yes, cabs are expensive in LV. However, these people were not very smart and should have rented a car for transportation. This is the smartest thing to do if you're staying downtown....it gives you full mobility to go anywhere at any time you want, plus the parking garage is FREE for hotel guests! I rented a compact car from Fox Car Rental (the cheapest company) for 4 days for $77.35 plus $21 for gas. For under $100, my friend and I went to the Strip every day plus other places, including the Hoover Dam. Splitting the expense between us, it was dirt cheap; we had the freedom to come and go as we pleased, and we were not subjected to a bus schedule. The drive from The Golden Nugget to the Strip is under 10 minutes, which is no big deal. By the way, Fox is the cheapest because they are located outside the airport and don't have to pay the 20% airport tax....savings that are passed on to YOU!!! So, do yourselves a BIG favor and rent a car from Fox....you'll be glad you did and will save on transportation! I know I will be doing that again the next time. Happy driving! :-)

“Awesome Time!”

Golden Nugget is a really nice place to stay. Only 2 things though...double beds in room...too small and the Carson Street Restaurant very rude service and slow.

“Elegant, classy hotel”

I would recommend the Golden Nugget and I would stay there again. My only complaint is that they did not provide coffee pots in the room for the guest to make a morning cup of coffee. This means using costly room service, or going to Starbucks for a $4.00 cup of coffee. Either way, I felt like the hotel was trying to suck another $20 bucks out of us which I did not appreciate since I poured plenty of cash into their slot machines which should have covered a coffee pot for a morning cup of coffee.
