Found hotel in middle of renovations but staff went out of there way to make sure all was well the new updated rooms are chic and well decorated cleaning staff all you could ask for small hotel (for las vegas)but all comfort taken care off yes could quite happily stay there again

The hotel is 100 years old and was never a grand place. That said, it has been tastefully remodeled with fresh paint in the room and decent new furnature. My room looked out over the vents of the building nest door and was close to the Freemont Street Experience. I had a good nights sleep in the comfrtable bed They seem to shut down the Rock videos at about 11 pm. I paid the lowest price I have ever paid for a hotel room and the Hotel was far better than many I have stayed in. I would stay there again without hesitation.

The Golden Gate and Fremont Street are as close as you can get to Old Vegas! Everything downtown is better, closer and all within walking distance! The ambiance is incomprable. Don't forget to visit the Shrimp Bar & Deli. It really does have the world's best Shrimp Cocktail and the deli sandwiches are excellent!

“Awesome stay at Golden Gate!”

The hotel staff was courteous from the check-in to the very end of my stay at the Golden Gate. What you shouldn't miss out is the food at the diner. I had a plate of lemon chicken and not only the food was spectacular but also the service from the waitress. Casio was much fun and really like the dancers along with dealers - lots of laugh and fun time. A 5 dollar roulette table attracts many interesting people. Free drinks. Can't beat it!!!

I was very impress the room was nice and clean and the staff was great when we were to leave we stayed a extra day and had no problem. I suggested that they put slippery strips in tub for preventing falls and while we were walking around seeing sites when got back to room was done that was awesome. Large flat screen televisions the room has been remodeled and the bed sleeps well we were in a room overlooking Fremont the show and was impressed.
