“Great location, spacious room”

The location of the hotel is great and access to the Planet Hollywood Casino was quick using the Mall entrance which connects to the hotel. We did not miss the casino feature of the hotel since it was so close to Planet Hollywood. Also not as crowded as most casino hotels. The room itself was very spacious. The projection screen is a neat novelty feature but we are hardly in our room while in Vegas that we did not put it into use as originally thought. Hotel gym, is a gym and that's it. Couple of treadmills and weight machines. When waiting for a taxi, be prepared to wait awhile. Taxis do not line up at this hotel. The elevators are super fast, less than 20 secs for one to arrive. All in all I would recommend this hotel.

“Fantastic and comfortable stay”

8 ft projection screen tv in the living room is just one of 5 tvs in the suite. Full kitchen, ample space for up to 4 people. We loved it! And the proximity to the Miracle Mile Shops (the lobby opens up into the mall) was great, made for a quick walk to the strip and to Planet Hollywood. We'd love to stay at the Elara again in the future!

“For $120 in LV, great hotel.”

Great hotel for the right price. Close to the airport and the new LV. Modern and renovated with new rooms. Like the microwave and little kitchen stuff. Like a little condo....nice.

“It's a Hilton vacation club called Elara now.”

I gave a "3" overall because either the room above or below us was having a party and kept us up until the wee hours of the morning with what sounded like a DJ playing music and people yelling, laughing. I know that it is Vegas, but even the bar/club near us (ie Diablos @ Monte Carlo) closed their patio at 1am so it kept the music/noise inside the building. Also, when we showed up to check in, we were surprised that the Planet Hollywood Westgate Towers was NO LONGER a Planet Hollywood, but was a HILTON vacation club called Elara. It was supposedly changed on March 1, 2012. Would have been nice if Expedia had put a note on that so people like us wouldn't get confused and thought that our reservation was not valid anymore.

“Elara”

Overall it was a nice hotel. They do hold your security deposit for up to 10 days but tell you they put it right back at checkout. The rooms are nice but they do need to keep up on the maintenance. Very nice view and great location.

“Good value, but rowdy clientele”

Hallways had a lot of wear and tear: paint chips, scratches, etc. This is most likely due to the fact that the clientele of the resort tend to be young partiers. This is not a good place for a family. I was there for business, but would not recommend this place for the business traveler either. The halls were fairly noisy well into the night as well. The room was comfortable, the room was a decent size, and my view (pool and MGM and airport) were spectacular. However, this is not for adults or businesspersons. This is a hotel for the young and socially adventurous.

“can be better!”

I'm going often to Vegas and we want to experience Vegas premium service. this hotel doesn't match the expectation of premium location on stripe. it's great but one step below MGM, Mandalay, the Hotel...

“Looks good on paper only”

Hotel experience was disappointing for various reasons. First and foremost, hotel management required that all people in our room, whether registered guests or our own guests, wear wristbands in order to gain access into the elevators. This was incredibly burdensome. How can you expect someone to wear a wristband for an entire weekend? Or on the flip side, why go through such a hassle for someone who just wants to relax in your room for an hour or two in the middle of the day? We also had to beg multiple club bouncers not to cut these off, and it was also very uncomfortable to sleep and shower in these. As far as the room goes, we stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. The room was very poorly constructed. The door to the bedroom collapsed on my friend. It literally came off of its hinge when he simply tried to open it as normal. The same thing happened with a cabinet in the bathroom. Let me reiterate: two separate door/cabinet fixtures came unhinged through normal use. The staff was responsive to fix this problem, but quite frankly it should not have been a problem in the first place. The room also had tidiness issues when we checked in. We found two empty liquor bottles in the kitchen cabinets and various pieces of trash scattered throughout such as cocktail stirrers and receipts. In the kitchen, the refridgerator's ice machine also did not dispense ice. All in all, the PH Towers/Hilton Elara experience did not deliver as promised. Will definitely consider other options next time
