“Nice low key hotel”

Central to all the good places without the hype and cost of LasVgas.

The stay at the California Hotel made my trip to Las Vegas very enjoyable. The location is very convenient to many places we visited. With easy access to the Main Street Hotel and Casino, a visitor has many dining and gambling options. Going to other casinos in the area via walking was also a pleasant experience in clear weather. The only problem---what are we to do should it rain and we would like to go and watch the Freemont Experience at night?

Clean rooms that are spacious and comfortable. Staff is courteous and friendly.

We had a good time. The hotel isn't first class but it is clean and all the help are very nice.

We have always enjoyed our stay at the California Hotel and being that this time we booked it separately we were very pleased with the guest service as they transported our bags to and from the rooms and helped us get transportation to the airport. We truly do enjoy our stay and it makes us feel a little bit more at home.

“Can't go wrong with The Cal!”

Nice place, updated rooms, clean and comfortable, right next to Binion's and other hot spots on Freemont St. Loved my stay there, way cheaper than the strip, the food is also cheaper downtown, and the trolley is very convenient for a $3 ticket to get to the strip. I will stay there again.

“Great Hotel Choice!”

We stayed at the California Hotel over Memorial Day weekend 2009. We initially chose the Fremont Hotel but they were out of rooms. Needless to say we were very satisfied with the Hotel and cleanliness. If I have to mention any kind of "complaint" it would be that we weren't given a door hanger that says to not come in and clean the room - but I don't think that counts as a complaint.

Clean room and bathroom, very good value for the price. We enjoyed eating at the Aloha Kitchen. Staff was friendly. Close proximity to other casinos and the Fremont Street Experience.

“Where the Locals Stay.”

Always enjoy going to the Cal to where I will always run into old friends from Hawaii. It has the atmosphere and the Aloha Spirit runs deep through its walls.
