Great Hotel - Convenient to MSU Campus
Consistency is the word I would use to describe this hotel. It is consistently clean & comfortable. The staff is friendly and courteous. The restaurant/bar is better than average and most accommodating to the parents of MSU students. I prefer to stay no other place in the greater campus area.

Convenient But Dated and Cramped
The location if attending an MSU event is perfect. Very nice MSU gift shop inside. Staff were excellent and very accommodating. The room was like a shoebox. Dark and dank. Bathroom shower was a "made do" which consisted of a shower curtain and drain in the corner of that bathroom. The room gets soaked after a shower. The beds were fair at best. Dark desks that resembled an old dorm desk. Completely out of date. However if you are looking for convenience, location and free parking, the price was right. We stayed in room 302 and paid just over $100. Next time we will stay at Marriott, better location.

Close to MSU campus.
Room was little congested for family of four. Bathroom is modern w/o bathtubs. Went to town to attend a college club concert at Kellogg.

Visit to East Lansing for Future MSU Student
This place is pretty nice. The only thing that set us back from putting all 5's was: 1) the shower - there is no tube or catch basin. It is right on the floor for all to get wet. It was pretty close quarter to shower, and then to have everything on the floor wet. Weird in our book. 2) We weren't worried that the place was dirty, but the place seemed to be over-powered by the smell of soap, or a "clean linen" smell from Bath & Body. It was quit obnoxious. 3) No breakfast included. Though, you could order room service at a very steep price.

Tiny rooms
Extremely tiny rooms for the price. There are two full size beds, which are comfortable, in one very small room, but one might feel very weird sharing that with another couple. The bathroom floor gets wet when you take a shower because the bathroom floor is the shower floor.

Downtown East Lansing
The hotel was really nice and the staff was more than willing to answer and help with any questions we had. It was really clean and was really close to the area where we wanted to be at (HopCat and the Brewery). However, there isn't a pool or hotub. They recommended us to MSU's nearby gym which was nothing pleasing by far. Also, we had a 2 full bed room which was the smallest I have ever encountered with the shower being a curtain in the bathroom and no tub. Other than those two I would go again just making sure we don't get that room.

Rooms to small and very hot especially in hall way. Price was not bad when I checked in, then the next day got another bill saying there were more charges. I would have thought when I checked in and ran my credit card all the charges were already on the bill.

Great location on MI State campus
I had great service at checkin , in the restaurant and at checkout. The staff called to make sure my room was satisfactory and offered several services, which I did not need, but the offer was appreciated.

The room was SO dirty. Bed was comfy, staff was friendly, but the vents were dusty, the floors sticky, and the sink got flooded because there was hair and mold in it? Gross.

Close to the sports!
Nice experience overall. It was during spring break for MSU. Hospitality in the dinning and bar was excellent. Room was great and king-size bed very comfortable on a cold winter night! Thanks.

Nice hotel, needs some updates!
The Kellogg is a very nice hotel and I would most definry stay again. Still the rooms need some updating. I stayed at the Kellogg cause my baby cousin goes to state her mom and I stayed a night up there originally we were planning to stay with my cousin. I saw her place and I was like wow this is small for three of us lets just book a room at the Kellogg that way we will have more room, boy was I wrong! The bathroom was so small I could barely get my clothes on in there! The complimentary shampoo and conditonor is nice but the bottles are very hard to use which is frustrating. It's a nice a hotel and I will stay again but still the rooms need to be a bit more spacious just cause it's a college town doesn't mean I want to stay in a dorm room!

The hotel is old and outdated. As a Spartan alum I was disappointed and would stay off campus in the future. Rooms are small and outdated like a dormitory. Showers were the worst with a head coming out of the ceiling and a curtain with no separation from the rest of the bathroom. Supposed to stand on a teak matt after showering when the whole room is soaking to keep your feet dry. These bathrooms are in drastic need of an update. Overall the staff was friendly and cared about giving good service. We attended a wedding and the rest of the facilities were great. Just need to renovate the rooms and bathrooms!

Fun weekend with my daughter.
Our first room had a European bathroom. We did not like the set up and was quickly moved to a room with a nice bathroom. The staff was delightful. Very convenient for the concert at the Breslin center.

Great location right on the edge of MSU campus. Convenient, attached covered parking. I would stay here again if I'm in the area. Restaurant was yummy.

We got a double. It was very small. Very clean and modern. But it made me think it would make a great cabin on a boat. The bathroom was also one of those where the shower was the bathroom. Drain in the floor instead of a tub. It seems like they took a single room and added a second bed, two desks and bedside table.

Great place to stay if visiting MSU. Room was very clean and beds very comfortable. Only possible drawback was rooms and bathroom smaller in size than normal hotel room, but no big deal for us.

loved the decor
Rooms were small. they looked great. love the decor. the double beds are full size beds. Pool is off location and was closed most of the time. No tub in bathroom. The beds were comfortable but in need of new pillows. you can hear people in the hallways clearly and the room doors slamming shut, but the room served it purpose and the staff was great and room service was great. I would stay again.

Great location, excellent food in the restaurant, very good service. The only negative is that the room and bathroom were very small. I would stay there again in spite of size because everything else was very good. Lovely location. Two Torontonians

This is my second stay at the Kellogg Hotel, and I highly recommend it. Our room was upgraded upon arrival to an amazing, huge room. The staff were absolutely wonderful about everything. Can't recommend the Kellogg enough.

My boyfriend was attending a conference there, so I got a room there. Room was clean, if not a little cozy (small). The parking was close and free.

Great Hotel; Great Restaurant!! Right on Campus!! Perfect Hotel for a night or two in East Lansing. I wouldn't stay anywhere else but here or the Marriott on M.A.C.

Being on campus can't be beat
Convenient location which is reflected in the price. No continental breakfast. Overall good experience. Friendly staff. Free wireless. Walk to campus and restaurants. Need other mode for grocery and discount stores.

Convenient location
This hotel is conveniently located to MSU and East Lansing. It is clean and well kept. Parking is included and is in an attached garage which is good because parking can be hard to find in this area. It is an older building which has been remodeled, but the rooms are small, the bathroom arrangement is inconvenient, and the mattress sags in the middle. It is a trade-off between convenience and accommodations.

The hotel is nice and conveniently located. Should be noted that the rooms are very small (european in style) they are nicely appointed but very small. No tubs only showers.
