“Great Graduation!”

hotel was in a rustic renovation area but with plenty of walking distance shops and eateries near by with a great location to the highway. although the appeal was not attractive, the cleanliness of the room and friendly staff made the stay enjoyable. there was hot coffee all day and continental breakfast if you got up early. it was a cheap, clean enjoyable stay.

“just what i needed”

I stayed 2 nights in East Lansing , and I should have stayed BOTH at this one!!! I had to book at 2 different times because of money situation. But, whenever i go anywhere , I will always look for this hotel chain first- I have always had good experiences with them. Nice, affordable, clean, etc, etc.

The only issue I really had with this stay was that the walls are super thin. Anything above very quiet talking, is easily heard. To rectify this, I just turned the fan on in the room. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

This place was worth the low rate we paid. It was in the area we needed and was a place to stay. It had no alarm clocks, nor hair dryer, so bring your own! The woman at the front desk was friendly. We stayed two nights, a Fri and Sat. Late Sun morning, someone was working outside our room with a JACKHAMMER! We were already awake, but I still found this to be extreme. The latch part of the door stuck, so we had to be sure it was out when we left, or you could just push the door open from the outside and get into the room without a key. Good thing I checked before we went out!

The location is somewhat convenient to the Southside of Lansing, but the manager that checked us in did not tell us up front that a "non-smoking" room was not available, as requested. Room not well-maintained: dents in door "kick plate", cracks in plaster and on tub surround, smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke.

“Cheap, but don't expect much”

Stayed here because they had rooms left for the U2 concert. Prices were very cheap, but there's a reason why. Our room reeked of 20+ year smoke. Everything felt "dirty" and the ceiling in the bathroom area was totally yellow in spots. The was a large, dead bug in the bathroom lodged between the corner of the wall and bathroom door. The toilet ran constantly. Our carpet was filthy. The sheets appeared clean and there were no bed bugs (thank goodness). Friends of ours were staying on the other side and their room wasn't AS bad as ours. The clientele is also questionable. Yipes! Was totally expecting my car to be up on blocks when we woke up in the morning. I won't be back........
