“Close to tower, but outdated and uncomfortable”

The hotel is old, and in desperate need of remodeling. The furniture looks like it is original to the hotel, and one of the chairs in our room was broken. The window A/C unit was old and not terribly effective. The on-site restaurant had three dinner options (chicken, fish, or steak) and no menu - and was the ONLY place to eat without having to pay a toll to cross the bridge. The hotel caters to the senior citizen bus tour crowd almost exclusively. The room was clean, if not very comfortable. The hotel's location was convenient for the Observation Tower (it was next door), but that's all there is on the island (customs, the hotel, the tower, and a tourist shop for souvenirs) - so any other activity requires paying a toll to cross the bridge (the toll is only one-way) Overall, a pretty unpleasant stay. Would not stay there again, and would not recommend.
