- Courteous staff - Convenient location (5-10 min walk to beach) - Gave a free buffet dinner to guests on 31st while other hotels charged a supplement Suggestions: - Provide large (20L) bottled water dispenser for common use. Water of electric water filter tastes weird - Put a separator at the iron board. It's uncomfortable to use it by the elevator. - A gym would be nice

Anniversary and family reunion trip
It was good for the price. Near all the activities and close to the beach. Staff was helpful and friendly. You’re pretty much getting what you’re paying for. The pool was a nice touch. Nice and clean. The dining area looked clean enough but we didn’t eat there. They were nice enough to give us a carry out breakfast bag because we had to check our early to catch our flight but the sandwich I got had a long ass piece of hair in it which turned us off the food. We rented a vehicle from the airport and this hotel has free parking which was a plus.

I had to change my hotel and came to fave which was the best decision. Location and outlook of the fave was amazing. Staff friendly and breakfast was great with view of trees, landscape and the pool. Extra pillows could have added more value to it. Though my room was towards facing the raid yet it was amazing view of the mountains in the back and can see planes flying off and the openess of the area. Overall it was amazing and the fact it was right in between cennag and pentai beaches. I will def come back and recommend this to others.

Although this is not the first time I am staying here, this hotel has gotten bit old. I think some level of touchup required. The hot water takes very long to heat up. The breakfast spread is quite disappointing. there was no buffet breakfast offered. The rooms are lacking one important item of a mini bar but I hear they are implementing this soon. The pool area had not been maintained quite well and the drainage broke through while stepping over it into the pool causing injury to my wife. Overall the atmosphere in the hotel is very solemn and doesn't have a very bright and cheerful feeling. The staff do their best to accomodate wherever they can. All things considered it's not a bad place to stay, get a good nights sleep, good IPTV channels to binge and wifi in the rooms even though the main beach is 10 mins walk away. Pro Tip - Rent a bike nearby for easy travel to and from the main beach.

Budget with paper thin walls & terrible breakfast!
This is definitely a budget hotel! Walls and ceilings are paper thin.. you hear everything!! Breakfast is a joke, stone cold and terrible quality! Lots of places near by for good food! Location is pretty good for getting about, but would recommend getting a scooter.

The staffs supposed to reserve rooms for us once I paid through Expedia. However, the receptionist asked me which kind of room I've booked when I reached the hotel and arrange the rooms for me on the spot! The air-con in the first room is not working and we requested to change to another room. The air-con keeps dripping water and released ice cubes. We found a dead cockroach in the second room and requested another room change. They sent a housekeeper to verify, and the housekeeper doesn't even apologize for the hygiene issue! Luckily the third room we got is fine. No dead cockroach, no visible stains on bed sheet, toiletries all provided.

Cheap: You get what you pay for
Our stay was very poor. It took hours for the staff to get back to you on any requests such as booking a massage at their spa, getting an extra towel to the room etc. The pool area is next town Ox paddock and smells pretty badly like manure. The facilities are quite bad as well with very little except for the pool. If you stay on the east side of the building you get neon lights shining through your window all night making it hard to sleep with the terrible curtains. The room and bathroom were dirty, and the shower would take 2-3 minutes to heat up. The food while expensive was actually quite nice do that was a surprise. Also a little bit away from all the shops and beach (1-1.5km). Just annoying walking 15minutes to the shops or beach each day especially when you go that way more than once in a day. Overall a 2/5 only since it was quite cheap

Poor service
Room was booked for 3 people, but couldn't fit an extra bed, so had to pay to upgrade to a bigger room AND pay for the extra bed even though we booked for 2 adults and a 7 year old child. Staff are not helpful. Hotel is ok, but there are better options for the same price nearer to the beach in nicer areas.

Clean & convenient hotel
Basic but clean hotel fairly close to Cenang beach. I'd booked a double room but on arrival we had 2 single beds pushed together so it wasn't as comfortable as our usual stay with Fave.

Laid back break
It was a relaxing laid back break. Breakfast was not bad with basic room amenities and ensuite bathroom. The compact room had no balcony. The price range for this hotel was above average and the beach was a good 20 minutes walk, but well worth it. The walk to the beach itself was not pleasant with boarded up building sites most of the way. Staff were all young but friendly enough. Had some initial issues checking in issues, but was swiftly sorted once I emailed hotel.com

Great choice for a budget traveller!
Awesome stay at Favehotel, was just 10mins walk away from the main street and the beach! General condition of the room was good, beds were nice and clean; only thing to pick on was the air conditioner fan seemed to be oscillating weirdly. Didnt affect the temperature though. Selection of food and drinks for breakfast adequate and they actually change certain food everyday. That being said the hotel's cafe food fell below expectations and a little overpriced. There was even a small counter in the lobby whereby we could book activities and even rent a car!

Great staff, great pool
Second time we have stayed at this hotel, it is in a great location, just a walk away from Cenang without the hustle and bustle of the towns night life, The room was lovely and clean, people might say a bit basic, but you are not there to stay in your hotel room. The pool is fantastic, great size and depth. Room was cleaned everyday whilst we had breakfast, which had a great selection that you could help yourself to. Staff were all very polite and helpful and any queries we had were resolved or answered straight away. Would highly recommend, will be staying there again.

More for Families with kids and on a low budget
A bit far from the beach/shops (20 minutes walk), generally OKish just for a sleep but is it full of kids and families. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything happening in corridors and rooms nearby. My first night there I was woken up by someone weeing in his toilet (YEP IT WAS A MALE)!!! Not a pleasant morning at all. after that I heard people talking in their rooms and corridors, kids screaming too .... A bit of a nightmare really to be woken up like that especially in such a peaceful, laid back and a beautiful part of the world. I would definitely go back to Langkawi but next time it will be right by the beach. This hotel is definitely NOT recommended for people without families.

The breakfast spread was quite boring and the coffee is really bad. The machine keeps breaking down. Service is good though, always willing to help.

Nice small hotel very close to Little India
Friendly staff. Unfortunately the safe was not availble and there was only one room key. Which was left on front desk while out of hotel. The pool was really small like 2 foot deep and inside. Breakfast next door was interesting! Overall I enjoyed my stay and woukd probably stay again.

Location of the hotel was good and the view from the room was also good . Apart from this , everything else was bad. Housekeeping was careless and towels they provided are in brown color from not being washed properly. Breakfast was bad and very limited choices. There is no soap in bathroom and no toiletries. Overrall is not a hotel that i would recommend.

Check-in to the hotel was easy with no hassle. The staffs were friend and accommodating. The hotel was nice and the facility offered were good. Location is not far away from the famous Pantai Cenang and shops nearby.

Othervise really good, but soundproofing really bad. Next to us stayed family which kids were all the time running in the hallway and making noise. Kids woke up around 6 am and after that they started to play music etc.

Pros: located 10-15 minute walk from the beach breakfast included and decent very friendly staff who responded to our requests nice pool quiet sweet view out the back Cons: dirty upon arrival -something that looked like animal feces on the toilet infested with ants rust stains on sheets and towels inconsistent hot water in shower cleaners forgot to give us toilet paper and clean mugs

Located just away from Cenang beach. Walking distance. Noting great about the hotel cause probably that is the amount we paid for. WIFI was very poor. Rooms were pretty average but decent. Breakfast was very very average. Suggest having breakfast at the food stalls just next to the hotel. Location however was really good. Walking distance to Cenang. Some nightlife nearby the hotel. Food stall is also 24hrs just next to the hotel.

Not a very pleasant stay. Breakfast poor, wifi very hit and miss, stay not as helpful as 7 other hotels on the trip. We left Fave 3 nights early to stay somewhere else.
