Think carefullyabout staying.
I'm torn about recommending this hotel. I actually am very laid back and let a lot of things go that others don't but not in this case. When checking in after a long day traveling I shouldn't have to ask for toilet paper because there is none. They only supply 2 hand towels and 2 so called bath towels. They have liquid soap combo of body soap and shampoo but no wash cloths to help with washing. Our toilet broke and we were moved to another room which was done in a timely fashion. However in our new room the bedding was totally different. Instead of warm cozy comforters we had very light weight ones that are to be used in the summer. We had reserved 2 rooms and the second room had different level of bedding too. There didn't seem to be any consistency in the bedding supplied. Pillows were terribly lumpy. Our 2nd room had a small refrigerator also not consistent and there was a list of what was in there and cost. Surprise! Nothing in there. There were a few things broken too. There is also no drawer space for our clothes. It was just a few shelves. The only good thing was their breakfast set up every morning. That and the view from the dining room was very good. We stayed there 14 days and paid alot of money. We chose to stay because I had someone with me with dementia and a move would have been terrible for her. I really feel that I was overcharged and very disappointed. The staff was very nice.

Breakfast was amazing and the location unbeatable but the hotel is a bit shabby and has no a.c. making it a bit difficult to sleep at first but it seems little to no a.c. is the norm in this area of Germany so its not a big deal, just be aware of this. Front desk can use some basic customer service training and English. I was locked out and threatened to have the police arrest me for owing the hotel money when my reservation had already been paid for. The manager and Expedia had to be called and thankfully the situation got sorted out. Apparently their system was down. Still, the front desk lady was rude and made no effort to understand even when I showed her my receipt with my reservation paid for 2 more days.

Service was perfect, all of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was a very busy time at the hotel but I was disappointed that our room was only cleaned and towels changed once during our 4 night stay but overall we were very happy with the hotel.

We arrived and checked in only to find our room was already occupied, office did not know this. Second room given was not prepped or fully house cleaned. But we had to stay for airport trip early next morning Managers did best they could to help, but house keeping side of operation is slipping

Location to the centre is excellent. Hotel is tired. Room is basic (that’s ok) shower head is worn out and does not stay where put. It is ok but definitely the poorest of all the local hotels I have used in Landshut.

This is the 7th time I have stayed at the Michel hotel. It is my favorite place to stay in Germany. Very nice staff, amazing breakfast, and the location can’t be beat. I am already looking forward to my next stay.

Michel Hotel 👌
Very friendly staff at front desk and in bar/restaurant! Rooms were modern, clean and well light. Workout equipment needs updating but sauna was amazing. Staff was willing to turn it on outside of normal hours.

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times now. It is a bit dated, but the location and the breakfast keep me coming back. Please don’t ever change that.

Restaurant not open, no room service, rooms are not great - tiny duvets, poor amenities. Wi-Fi is terrible. Not good for a business trip. Will be staying elsewhere on my next visit.

Rooms need updating
The bathroom was dated and shower cubicle was small. Loads of dust under the bed. The curtains had 5-6 small holes. The door handles for the inner door came off in your hand. The sliding door for the bathroom did not close flush and left a 1 inch gap towards the top.

Hotel on the Isar river
Nice hotel. Beautiful location on the Isar. Train station 1.9k. Great breakfast. Short walking distance to Altstadt. Lots or Restaurants nearby.

Great Hotel
Hotel is very nice. I have stayed here multiple times. Staff is very good and friendly. Location is great as it’s very close to city centre and some nice walks along the river.

I can not recommend this hotel. With 15+ yrs in hotel mgmt and having worked in some of the best national and international hotels, this hotel simply does not deserve a 4 star rating. I have paid in advance for the stay, would have checked out the first day of my stay. The hotel location and previous name, has a lot of potential, but it is completely run down and poorly managed. The hotel lobby is as cold as the staff, and was not decorated well or at all for the holidays. It seems that there is a huge lack of overall care for the hotel and guests, service and quality provided. Front desk was understaffed and snobby, not friendly at all. The training of staff for catering or being friendly to guests is entirely missing. I slipped and fell in the bathtub/shower on my first day, reported the incident to the front desk and asked for a meeting with the "hotel director". It was completely ignored. I asked if they would have a bath mat so the tub is not as slippery, and was told that they don't have one. I asked if they would have facial towels, small square facial towels, and was told that the "director" mentioned such towels would only be provided in 5 star hotels. It seems like the "director" needs to start traveling. Went and bought a bath mat and facial towels at Karstadt for 20 Euros. The blond lady at the reception should not be in any kind of hotel or front desk capacity. Not sure who she thinks she is, but being snooty or nasty to a guest is simply unacceptable. 0 stars!

Such splendor, do you deserve it ?
Now I can get even!!! For a hotel with so many rooms there are only 2 or at most 3 people for check in and check out. So can you image the line of people waiting! Next, as you enter there are two tables with many glasses , apparently you are too late, you missed when they were offering water to tired thirsty travelers. But that never seems to happen, they just wait there. Third !!! If you want to enjoy the wonderful pool be sure to DEMAND a room with a high number , not a low number like mine, 320. It’s a 5-7 minute walk they the length of the hotel to get to the elevator to the pool. And the first time you use the room card to gain access ( new Saxon law,3 euros per visit) the card won’t work so just crawl under the turnstile. Or be stupid and walk 10 minutes to the lobby and wait on line at the reception behind 5 people waiting to check in or check out. Oh, by the way, the hotel is wonderful. It’s across from Dresden so you get the classic view of the city. And just a block or 2 away is the museum of folk art, which is terrific and under visited!!! Enjoy

We loved our stay at this hotel. The location is beautiful, there are many options as far as restaurants go in the area, and the town itself is absolutely gorgeous - perfect to go for a walk.

Great location and amazing breakfast.
We stayed at the Michel hotel twice on our last visit. The rooms are very comfortable and have AC which was a nice bonus. The breakfast that came included every morning was amazing!! It was the best breakfast I've ever had. The restaurant and bar staff were great and always very friendly. The girls at the front desk left a bit to be desired, but after checking in we really didn't have to deal with them much. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!!

Excellent service. Excellent location on river at edge of old town. We found the connections to the Munich airport to be very smooth ( on Sunday morning at least) and are very happy we stayed in Landshut instead of an airport location.

Only a select if no other choice!
Really disappointing experience. The staff are not interested in any customer service, they offer no assistance and management walked out instead of coming to see how they can help. The room was comfortable but seemed to be the only one that was not refurbished. (based on seeing into rooms during room cleaning) Although clean the bathroom was extremely outdated (avocado tiles). The state of the room can be easily overlooked, but the poor customer service makes this hotel a terrible selection if you are staying in Landshut.

Christmas time in Landshut
We stayed during Christmas time. It was an easy walk to the beautiful downtown and Christmas market. Hotel is in a great location by the river with nice path for walking or jogging. Staff was very helpful. Unfortunately there was no mini fridge in room.
