"Good comfortable hotel. "
Good hotel, have stayed before. Everything OK but the restaurant and bar menus were a bit brief, not much choice, and the breakfast cooked selection was poor. The wi-fi was expensive (having just stayed in two good hotels where it was free) at £8 per day or £20 per 3 days. I arrived on the Saturday evening at about 5pm and signed in. I chose the three day option as I was staying until the Monday. As soon as I had checked out at 10am Monday the connection was chopped! Effectively I paid £20 for 41 hours use...not good. Would I recommend the hotel? Yes, but with reservations (see above).

"Mum/Daughter Spa Visit"
Lovely hotel, staff were very welcoming. The facilities were very clean and functional. We had a db double deluxe room, very comfortable, larger than normal, loads of space and storage. The food was excellent in both restaurant and the "Chimney" bar and the outside seating area with fountain was delightful. Location is excellent for visiting Manchester.

"Good place to break journey South-East to Scotland"
All good Breakfast a bit disappointing but we were late down so ... (Evening meal was excellent and that raised our hopes for an equally spectacular breakfast) Overall, a very good place to spend the night.

"Wedding venue"
Hotel is conveniently located slightly out of town and close to motorway links. I was a guest at the wedding; from point of view everything went smoothly and was well organised. All the staff were pleasant and always willing to help and assist in any way. I would be happy to stay in this hotel again in the future.

"Mini getaway"
This was a night away as part of birthday celebrations. The courtesy call and email communication from Brecks staff was really good. We were on a late check in and they talked me through the checking in process as there would be no staff working at the time. When we got there we got a little lost due to the 1 way systems in place. When we actually got to the hotel, we couldn't figure out where the car park was nor where our apartment was (we were in apartment 9 which is located round the back, all other apartments are on the front of house and clearly marked). If you are coming by car be aware that parking is very limited, we ended up parking on the street. We did this after I rang the emergency number to help me locate our apartment, the man on the phone advised us to do this and it seemed pretty safe (and parking for the evening was free...it was a Sunday)

"A pleasant discovery and an all round success."
As an adult couple, my wife and I had been to Blackpool on several occasions over the years and had thought that we had experienced the best accommodation and entertainment that we could have previously afforded. That was until June of this year, 2015. when we discovered the Viking Hotel. It was advertised on the Internet and offered outstanding value for money so we decided to book up accordingly and see for ourselves We both love children and are Grand parents but the thought of a quiet few days away from the norm.on a child free break appealed to us both.
