“Better than I expected”
The room and bathroom were a nice size and ours had a view of the ski mountain. The bed was a bit on the firm side, but overall not too bad. I was a little surprised by the ala carte cleaning service...$2.00 for extra toilet paper? But our room was well stocked so we didn't use it for the 4 nights we stayed. We did take our own trash out though. The location was awesome for skiiers... literally feet from a chair lift. The hotel got noisy at night when groups would come back from the tavern, but that was tolerable and short lived. There are restaurants, bars, and shops within steps. There are great hot tubs and a steam room at the nearby condo building that are available for Pine Inn guests to use. Towels, showers, lockers, and changing room are provded. I would stay here again for the location and amenities. The price cannot be beat for the ski-in/ski-out experience.
“demolish and reconstruct”
windows were broken no iron board, no refrigerator, no hair dryer no microwave
“Did not live up.”
Familiar to mountain resorts this building does not live up. I believe Intrawest is developing new and looking to raise this building soon. Other occupants of the building appeared to be resort employees or teen summer camp participants. No seasonal deep clean as evidenced by the fuzzy bathroom fan, and fuzzy boarder around the entire floor where housekeeping fails to use vacuum attachments. Despite a spacious room the furniture was dated and minimal to the point of having wasted space. The ice machine had been turned off for an extended period. The work out room and equipment has not been maintained. No elevator to the fifth floor where I was residing. The resort location is majestic and the grounds crew does exceptional work. Excited for an afternoon of mountain biking, I was only able to find Mountain Xross. Sorry, being required to take a lift to the top and only being allowed to come down on a full suspension bike is not mountain biking. Fortunately my group already had planned activities and everyone that golfed was ecstatic. The resort itself is a nice mountain get away. The abundance of wildlife is memorable. Use one of the newer buildings like Panorama Springs.
“What a dump!!!!! Under renovation - ok.. But even with a lot of imagination I would stear clear!!!”
The Pine Inn at Panorama is the "motel style" lodging. When we arrived it was under renovation - we had not been informed about this in ad advance. I have to say that the work itself caused us no problems, but imagine walking into what you think is an okay, not too luxurious, inexpensive hotel/motel. And find the carpets of the stairs so worn there are holes in them. Then you enter the hallway to find holes int he walls. some of them already filled with putty - other not.. The door to your room has not seen any paint in years. It's dark and gloomy and you just hope and pray you won\t meet anyone with bad intentions. All I can say is: avoid this place. Even when renovated it is the dumps. Think of where they use to film the porn films in the 60's abd 70's. Sleasey motels in the middle of no-where. Multiply that with factor 2 and you have a good idea of what to expect. Panorama is a great place. If you really want to go, spend the extra 50 bucks a night for a descent place to stay. Looking to break up with your husband or wife - take them there !!! Guaranteed to make them run away as fast as they can. On the positive side, the staff of Panorama are great. From reception to the bars, restaurants and ski lifts. Kudo's for helpfulness, friendliness and service. Just a shame about the horrible accomodation.
“Worst place ever”
This place was horrible and we will never return. We were told to boil the water before drinking it but we were in a hotel type room with no way to do that. the room was worn and dirty and it was noisy until about 4 am.
“Terrible experience for my R&R weekend with my friends”
Dirty bathroom, hot and cold shower, messy beds, stained bed comforters,no coffee in room, when tried to complain, there was very little service or concern from guest service agents. Finally, after about 10 phone calls, we took it to the next level of management and we were upgraded to a better room in another part of the resort. This was still an inconvenience to move our things again. I love the resort, hate the Pine Inn.
