“Great home-base for hiking.”

Are minimalist, but nice overall. Excellent restaurant and bar, though a bit pricey. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a number of great services for hikers: transportation, packed lunches, etc. This is the best place to stay in National Park Village.

“Excellent location with a great view of the Park”

Great value for money, four of us stayed in a cozy quad room for two night. Enjoyed the experience. Quite good room facilities with the rates we have got from Expedia. Lounge and communal kitchen is one of the best I have seen around. Excellent location with a great view of the Mt Ruhapehu and Tongariro National Park. Only complaint is about the Spa usage system. Would be nice to have a booking system for spa so everyone could get equal chance of using it, some peoples are there just for ages so we never had the opportunity to use it.

“Easy choice for families for a short stay”

Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. We dined in the Spiral Bar/Restaurant which had nice food but a very long wait which was tedious for the children. When it came, the kids fettucine was delicious. We chose a Loft room which was comfortable but had a tiny bathroom with a shower, not a bath. So small that there was no place to hang towels to dry.

“Basic accomodation”

The accomodation is probably most suited to a hiker, the room was basic. The meals were reasonable.
