“heavenly stay”
Great hotel at a great price. Next to heavenly slopes.
“Wow, can't wait to go back!”
We were extremely impressed by our room. We stayed in the tower, and the condos there are more like homes. Our unit had a full-sized kitchen with beautiful granite countertops, full sized appliances and a nice bar area for visiting while cooking. The kitchen/dining and living room areas are open, so it feels very large. The views of the valley below were amazing. The Ridge is located at the peak of the mountain and surrounded by beautiful pines. We liked being able to try a sleep number bed, it was comfy. We wish we had longer to stay, because the place offers so many activities. The store located near the check in desk across the street has a good selection of movie rentals. There's a nice restaurant there, too. We plan to go back and stay longer. It's a great place at an amazing price.
“Really impressed. We might go back in the not so long future.”
The hotel was excellent. We enjoyed a lot the covered pool as it was a bit cold in the late afternoon. The room certainly fit our expectations. We were very happy that the hotel was very oriented to families. I was a bit afraid of taking my 3-year old to a Casino Hotel. There were only a couple of things. There was a door between our room and the next room. There was a little gap between the upper section of the door and the door frame. Nothing to worry to much about it. However, some maintenance would be required. Also, this was the first hotel in my history of traveling (in the U.S.) that the hotel didn't provide little bottles of shampoo (from free). Fortunately, we did bring our own shampoo from L.A. Certainly this is a first one in all my traveling in the U.S. I guess the economy is really hitting hard everybody. Bottom line: We would recommend this hotel to other friends.
“The Pleasure of Staying at Ridge!”
We were 2 couples and 4 kids. We rented a two bedroom condo at The Ridge. It was lovely. The kitchen was spacious and had all the necessary utensils. There was a welcome Banana Bread in the fridge which was a nice gesture. The working fireplace and 3 TVs was great. Overall, it had the warmth of a home. The only thing missing was the usual soaps and shampoos which the concierge promptly got to us when we called. I would certainly stay there again.
“AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
This had to be the absolute most romantic place we have ever stayed in!!! The view was breathtaking, service impeccable, beds comfortable. What elses could you ask for, oh yeah another bed and two bathrooms a full kitchen and living room. The view from every room was spetacular in May I wonder how beautiful it will be in December. This was an amazing place, I just wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was friendly and courteous we have nothing bad to say. Did I mention sleep number beds and a wonderful view of Carson Valley on one side and the mountain on the other?????
“I could live here!”
Three day weekend (President's Day), 10" of fresh powder fell the first night, snowboarding was fantastic. I felt totally spoiled to be able to walk from our room to the little gondola down to the lift at the lodge. Incredible view of Carson Valley from our room. Kids dug the racket-ball courts when we weren't on the slopes. Indoor and outdoor hot tubs very nice, seems like every building had at least two. Restaurant was closed Sunday, luckily the drive down to Tahoe was only 10 minutes. Yep, I could live at the Ridge.
“"Great value, Great hotel!!!"”
We were so impressed with this hotel! Great value for the money! Several pools and spas(outdoor and indoor!!) tennis courts(outdoor and indoor!!), racket ball, theater, hiking trail, putting green, ping pong, pool table and so much more! Room was very comfortable. We had an amazing view overlooking the valley. We stayed four nights and and would have loved to stay longer. Only 10 min drive to the casinos. We go to tahoe a few times a year and this will be the hotel we stay at from now on!
“Recommended as a hotel accomodation or an owner”
The hotel stay was very nice. I stayed in a newly renovated room that was nice with a great view; in fact all rooms have a great view as the hotel is perched way on top of a mountain. The only suggestion to teh hotel is to repair teh jets on the hot tubs at the PLAZA
“great Tahoe value”
Ridge Tahoe isn't really a hotel - it's a set of condo complexes that are normally used as timeshares. The "hotel room" rental unit is simply the master bedroom lockoff portion of one of the two-bedroom condos. Having used one of the full units recently, I knew what to expect in the way of the room - a well-stocked, clean bedroom/bath combo with refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker. It's not the size of most "hotel rooms", but it's also got the amenities offered by Ridge Tahoe - pools, spas, saunas, etc. as well as the views. For the money, it can't be beat for a couple nights in Tahoe. If staying longer, best to find a full-use condo.
“Spa Weekend”
My mother and I had a wonderful time at the Ridge. We went in for a spa package and it was amazing. I would recommend The Ridge to any and all vacationers.
