“diamond in the rough...”
delightful front desk staff and simple rooms... perfect for a quick trip to the lake and centrally located... great value!
“Tahoe for less”
We had stayed at the Sun 'N Sand 3 years ago and found it an affordable, comfortable, if no frills, "motel". The best part is the location.... right on the beach, steps to the best coffee around and just 2 or 3 blocks from a cozy little restaurant that serves fabulous breakfast! That's why we went back -- found it virtually unchanged. We will probably return.
“Perfect Dive”
We were very happy with the location of this hotel and the rooms were clean with adequate space and comfort. Unfortunately the outside spa was not working during our stay which would have been nice after skiing all day. The view of the lake was beautiful.

A very old motel on the beach of Lake Tahoe with a magnificent view. The rooms were acceptable but not well maintained. Sink drain was stopped up. We were there in probably the only week in the last few years that was hot. This was unfortunate, as the hotel is not air conditioned Management was very friendly, and making the best of an old motel that needed refurbishing.
“Motel.....no hotel/ not impressed”
R u kidding! I was not impressed at all with this place. Rooms are very dirty and old, and the manger talks your ear off! I would never stay here again. I actully left a day early 'cause I could not bear another night there
“Very Low Quality, Strange Manager”
This hotel was nasty, bed was very uncomfortable, carpet was stained, shower faucet did not work properly, heater would not turn off. The manager was slightly creepy but ultimately seemed harmless.
