“Nice stay in perfect location”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Timber Lodge. The room was very clean and incredibly spacious. Even in the smaller guestroom we had (compared to the large villas they offer), we still had a good sized kitchenette with a fridge, toaster and coffee maker so it was really easy to keep some snacks and things for breakfast in the room. The hotel itself feels enormous but beautiful. The pool is very large and there is a lot of seating. Some of the lounge chairs had rips and had fallen into some disrepair, but they were still usable.This is definitely a family hotel so it was crowded with kids of all ages. If you're looking for an upscale getaway for adults, this wouldn't be the place to stay. The location is great and in walking distance to plenty. Its position right at the foot of the Heavenly gondola would make it prime for anyone skiing that mountain. For summer visitors, we were given a beach pass with our reservation for free access to some of the paid beach areas. Parking could get a bit pricey since the hotel does not have a self-park option. We arrived on a Friday and left Sunday and paid for two days. Not terrible but a good chunk of change for someone with a longer stay. We found the staff to be super friendly and helpful. Everyone who worked there was very accommodating and the guests all seemed to be enjoying themselves. A really nice play to get away.
“Always love it”
This was either our 4th or 5th time staying here and I can't say enough about it. It is so comfortable and the staff make everything so easy for you. It's wonderful to be within walking distance of the casino's for the nightlife.

This hotel was a fabulous choice! There was nothing better there! We will definitely be back!
“Will stay there again when I go back”
I always feel very confident when I book a room at the Marriott, once again I was not disappointed. I will stay again when I go to Lake Tahoe.
“Great getaway!”
After staying in some pretty run-down hotels in Tahoe (there's no shortage), this one was quite refreshing. Of course you pay for the extras in the nightly rate and parking fees, but for a weekend when my wife joined me for a business trip, it was worth it. We look forward to going back.
“Wonderful”
It was wonderful!! The room was great and had everything we need. We have 3 kids and there was enough room in the one bedroom for all of us. The pool is big and the kids lived in it. It was hot and lots of places to sit in the shade or lay in the sun. The exercises room is big and has lot of equipment. They have lots of stuff for kids and adults to do. You are close to the lake and lots of good food. We will defiantly be going back soon.
“Great location”
Second time we have stayed here. Very good location at the bottom of the Heavenly gondola and two minute walk to state line. Good quality facilities and service.
“Beautiful hotel in a great location in South Lake Tahoe!”
We truly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful property. It is within a very short walking distance of casinos, restaurants, shopping. Rooms were spacious and wonderfully appointed.
“Much Nicer than Expected”
It was a new apartment, rather than a room, fully furnished with all amenities, including washer and dryer. The staff was helpful but not pushy. We couldn't have been more impressed. We're sure to return.
“The place to stay..”
This place is great. We stayed in the luxury 2 bedroom suite and it was awesome. There were two bedrooms with two sofa beds and two bathrooms with a full kitchen and a stackable laundry unit. By the way the gondila was right outside the lobby of the hotel. Oh yeah and the casino is just a hop, skip, jump away!
