“Can't wait to go back!”
We were able to stay only one night, which was much too short. The hotel is on the California side, but, for those interested in the casinos, it's right next to Harvey's. Easy to walk, in fact, to several casinos. The rooms are all suites, of course, and, huge, comparatively speaking. Our room was pristine and almost elegant. Because Embassy Suites is not a casino, it was a nice and quiet change from the nearby casinos. A surprisingly good and complete buffet breakfast is included. Just make sure to get there early (7:00 am or so) to avoid the lines. We didn't go to the manager's "Happy Hour," which is also included, but we will next time. From feedback on Expedia, we knew about the $25 per day valet parking fee, so that wasn't a surprise to us. And it's the only negative. Despite the parking fee, we'll definitely go back. Highly recommend.
“Additional expenses”
When we arrived we were booked for a king bed and since it was my girlfriend and I we then requested if it was possible to get two beds. The reservation person stated that it would be an additional $40 per night which we declined. Also, valet parking is an additional $20.00 per day. You can decline but the self parking is quite a walk.
“Cozy hotel and great location to ski”
Very cozy place for a family trip. Great location with much better price in comparison with the next door (Marriott). I will come back again.
“Tahoe's best hotel”
We visit Tahoe a couple of times a year. We've stayed at a lot of the different hotels up there. From my experience, they are all fairly old and run down (even the casino rooms). The term "you get what you pay for" doesn't even apply... You definitely pay more for what you get and the only consolation is that you're not in the room very much (even for the casino's). Although the Embassy Suites is more expensive than most, it is well worth it. The location just can't be beat. A good breakfast and a 2-3 hour "happy hour" is included. They have an indoor pool and spa and the rooms are very nice. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there from now on.
“Excellent hotel for local skiing.”
We stayed here for 5 nights 2/06. Although not the ritziest of hotels on the strip, it was nontheless excellent. Morning breakfasts are wonderful, outstanding value and a great begining to a day of skiing. The scenery is bountiful and magnificent,; not a bad view anywhere. The slopes are immaculate, Then at the end of a day of skiing we had to suffer through the evening cocktails (FREE) at managers reception. Truely an outstanding selection for a hotel.
“Nice Hotel”
The hotel has an interesting setup, where is has the rooms facing the atrium. We were on the 9th (top) floor, and my only complaint was that, when we were walking to our room, the big metal air ducts were right past the railings. But we enjoyed our stay, the room was a good size. Personally, our favorite part of the stay was the complimentary breakfast. And not bagels and cream cheese (though you could get those), but eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, french toast, pancakes, breakfast breads, cereals, fruit, oatmeal, a juice bar....AWESOME. Saved a bunch of money, since meals ARE expensive there. You also better make reservations early in the day for any of the fine dining restaurants around. We went in January, so I don't know if that had something to do with it.
“fabulous hotel, awesome inclusive breakfast”
What a great hotel to stay at. It was immaculately clean. The cooked to order breakfast is not to be missed. Breakfast had a wide variety of beverages, fruit, and ect. Cocktail reception was also great. Pool area was clean and very nice. Too bad we had to take care of business, would like to go back and just hang out.
“sure would love to visit again.”
we enjoyed the time share presentation and did buy the timeshare with sunterra.it was awesome.
“Great stay”
All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. If you don't want to valet park, you can park next door at Harrahs(very close) The breakfast was fabulous every morning. Will definitley stay here again.
