“Very nice winter snow getaway hotel”
Time & Year: Winter 2012 Weather: Snow fall even when the sun was shining. Mostly cloudy. Guests: Me and my girlfriend Location was next to the water. Safeway supermarket is right across the street. The hotel is only 10-15 minutes away from the Gondola & Heavenly Village. Check-in was a breeze. The lobby is nice. The room we had was the room with a king size bed and partial view of the lake. Booking with expedia gives customers $15-$25 price off than booking at bestwestern.com... However, according to the front desk, booking with expedia puts you in a room overlooking the courtyard. We were upgraded for free to a "partial view" room for there were enough vacancies. The front desk said if i booked the partial view directly on bestwestern.com, we would've been upgraded for free into a "full view" room of the lake. It didn't matter for the view was still great. The room had two heaters, a wall AC with heating option & a gas fireplace. The room was very nice for a 2-3 star hotel. There is an ice maker on the first floor by the parking lot I would definitely stay here again.
“Would stay here again”
Although my room was on the small size, it was because I only had a single king sized bed. The room was comfortable and I enjoyed the in-room gas fireplace. I also had a lake view which was very nice. The hotel is right on the beach so the lake is very accessible. I did not try the breakfast as I ate elsewhere with friends, but checked it out and there was a wide variety of food and everything looked very good. Hot foods, fruit etc.
“Tahoe AMBBR”
Everything was as expected. No complaints here. Outstanding rate. Great location.
“Definitely a Nice place to stay overnight”
The hotel is a nice place to stay after your long tiring day at any Lake Tahoe Ski Resort. It's in the downtown area, close to restaurants, shops and grocery/convenient store. The sleeping area and bathroom are clean, the vanity and sink are separated from the shower room which is a plus! We enjoyed our breakfast so much and we were not expecting to have bacon, eggs and waffles! If you are just going to stay overnight at Lake Tahoe and your budget is under $100 a night, then this is the perfect place to stay!
“Definately Going Back!”
This hotel was super nice, clean, quiet & comfortable! I liked that there was no germy bedspread on the bed, but it's triple sheeted w/ accent material @ the end of the bed & a long accent pillow on top. (The sheets were scratchy). It's only about 5-10 minutes by car to the casinos. Each rm has a deck & partial (mostly blocked) view of the lake in the back. The gas fireplace was on when we arrived, but the rm was too warm for me & I kept the air conditioner on while I was in the room. The lake/pier are behind the hotel, but we didn't utilize as it was closed for the winter. We didn't utilize the free breakfast, but I could see others were enjoying it & it smelled great! It's located on a main street. Safeway is directly across the street & there are several restaurants, souvenir shops & other hotels/motels within walking distance.
“will stay here when I go back to tahoe it was wonderful.”
Everything about my hotel experience was wonderful, the breakfest lots to choose from and great time frames to eat, the staff at the resturant were very friendly and helpful. My room was so cozy I enjoyed it so much I found it hard to leave. Great location easy access to resturants, stores, Grocery store across the street.,fun things to do all around you. Catching public transportation is very convienant. Beautiful views of the Lake from my personal patio! The bed was awesome so comfortable and the fireplace was perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking. The staff were very helpful anytime I had questions. I cant say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay . I really liked the personality of my room.
“Yearly Getaway”
Good Hotel at a great price
“Will always choose to stay at this hotel”
It was a great experience. I would stay at this hotel in the future even if I didn't travel with a dog. The location, breakfast and overall experience was great.
“Great place to stay”
The lobby and hotel room was very nice, elegant decor, a fireplace in the room and a little patio facing the lake. The breakfast included was impressive, with eggs, toast, waffles, oatmeal, fruit, etc...
“Great Place to Stay”
I was planning on staying at one of the cheaper motels while there for the weekend but decided to upgrade a bit. I'm glad I did! Typical for the Best Westerns that I've stayed at in the past, the front desk service was very courteous, the free continental breakfast was good and plentiful, and the room was very comfortable. The only drawback that I noticed, was that the shower drain didn't drain fast enough and backed up a little. A small inconvenience considering everything else. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
