The AMERICAS BEST VALUE INN, is located between the Commons Beach of Lake Tahoe and the Tahoe City Golf Course. It has been AAA Approved for over 35 years and is in the center of town, between the Swiss-Inspired Cobblestone Shopping Center and Historical Tahoe Inn, now called the Blue Agave Restaurant. It is only a short walk to many restaurants, the Marina, Fanny Bridge, and many activities including boating, rafting, biking and hiking trails, parasailing, and fishing. It is just a short drive to four major ski areas including the World Famous Squaw Valley Resort, Alpine Meadows, Homewood and Northstar. In addition to the golf course behind the motel, it features an exclusive LAKE-VIEW HOT TUB, the only one of its kind in Tahoe City, where you can bask in the water and watch the boats go by. “Top value!”

For the price we paid this was better than expected. Situated right on the lake the hot tub has fantastic views and it is easy walking distance to all the restaurants. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. What more could you ask for when you're paying a cheap nightly rate!

“great for the price”

The front desk was very helpful about shuttle service, breakfast and best ways to get where we wanted to. Very friendly. The windows allowed all sound from the passage way. But otherwise, quite comfortable. The mexican restaurant next door had mediocre food and almost rude service. Unless you were a local you got treated like third class.

“Better than expeceted Excellent value”

This hotel is not fancy. But is super clean, comfortable bed, tremendous value. heart of downtown Tahoe City several good restaurants a stones throw away. nice beach on Lake Tahoe literally acoss the street. parking right by room. Felt safe, and quiet. All I needed, and more than I expected for the low price. I was working nearby at Squaw Valley, only 10 minutes away. Didnt want to drive up expenses. Didnt want to sacrifice comfort, clean and location for a low rate. Didnt have to here.

We had a pleasant one-day stay in this hotel. It's close to the beautiful lake. The restaurants are very close and convenient.

“Purpose-Built for Skiers”

If you are looking for a simple place to tuck away and dry off in between ski sessions, this is the address. I liked the high pegs like in the Alp hotels for hanging winter coats and gear outside of the closet. It's got the Tahoe feel.

Great location, right across from beautiful Lake Tahoe; within a 5-minute walk of all kinds of businesses and services; very friendly reception by hotel staff upon arrival on a cold rainy/snowy night. Excellent value, too!
