“Great Hotel, Great Spot”

Stayed at the Lakeview on a motorcycle trip. It was a little pricier than most of the hotels we stayed in (it was the 4th of July weekend, though), but it was worth it. Our balcony looked out onto Mirror Lake and down the main street. It was quiet, and very comfortable after a day on the road. The restaurant in the main building has a good breakfast and the rooftop patio was a great place to wind down at the end of the day.

“Lake front oasis with all conveniences”

Located in front of Mirror Lake just at the beginning of Lake Placid's Village Main street. The hotel has very comfortable, clean and spacious rooms, all facing the water and the garden. Friendly staff and courteous security and a fantastic guest lounge that serves as a meeting point during all seasons, no restaurant in the premises, but is Pet friendly and in the vicinity of all major restaurants and bars in the area.

“Excellent Stay”

We had stayed in the area previously and the former Lakeview is now part of the High Peaks Resorts properties. The location is on the corner of Mirror Lake Drive and Main street -- walk to the shops and restaurants, stay near the water and complimentary kayaks, canoes or paddleboats are outside your door. We were upgraded to the main property (former Hilton) upon arrival, which was completely remodeled and was AWESOME!! Although the Lakeview property has not yet been renovated, it appeared to be in great shape and worth the stay.

“Excellent choice”

We were more than pleased with this hotel. It was much more than we expected. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and well-kept. Each had a nice porch area overlooking MIrror Lake, a touch we did not expect. All amenities at the more expensive companion hotels were available at the better price; also unexpected. We ate dinner at the hotel's restaurant on the outdoor terrace. Food was excellent and fairly priced and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. Location was excellent. We were there for some high peaks climbing. Trail heads were just minutes away. Staff was knowledgeable about the region and the town. We will return.

“Sunrise over Lake Placid”

Great hotel. Room overlooked Lake Placid and faced east. I was able to watch the sun over the mountians. Room was very clean and neat. Attendants did a great job cleaning the room during my stay. Hotel was close to everything, after a day of skiing, I was able to walk to dinner at several GREAT places to eat. I would recommend staying at this hotel.

“Very enjoyable stay”

We stayed at the Lakeview motor inn for Feb recess break. It is in a great location right in the village. There was a view of Mirror lake, pool and workout room. W also had access to the High peaks in across the road. The hotel was very clean . and great for a family visit. It is a great place to stay for the location and cleanliness. The rooms were a nice size too, The bathroom was small however. We would definitely stay there again.

The room was a perfect size. Very comfortable, and we loved the balcony. We had a great view, and the location was perfect. We wish we could have stayed longer. Perfect place for a great price.

Absolutely, unquestionnably great location. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, etc. Gallery and concert hall less than a mile away. Beautiful view of Lake Placid. Couldn't ask for better. Indoor pool was clean and so was hot tub. Staff was great. Was very pleased.

The hotel was within walking distance of shopping and dining on main st. The room was clean and comfortable. The room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the lake. It was a great value for the price.
