“5th Wedding Anniversary at the Golden Arrow.”
My husband and I were recently in Lake Placid to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. At check in, we were upgraded from a deluxe lakeside room to a suite with fireplace. The room was beautiful, with a great view of the lake, and we really appreciated the upgrade. The hotel has a lot of charm that distinguishes it from a chain hotel. First, they've made a commitment to being green, which made the hotel stay more consistent with our pristine surroundings, and did not take away at all from the cleanliness of the hotel. Second, there are complimentary paddle boats, kayaks, and canoes that you can take from the hotel's docks. We had a great paddle around Mirror Lake. In addition, there's a beautiful pool area with two hot tubs, a steam room (awesome!) and sauna. Overall, we loved the experience. Just one comment: while the staff were extremely responsive at the desk, each time I called down to the front desk, no one answered the phone. I hope they work out this kink, because this was a fantastic stay.

Great location. Excellent staff and accomodations. Lake Placid is a delightful village. Don't miss the dog sled rides on frozen Mirror Lake!
“VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED”
First time to Lake Placid. Everything the Lady at the front desk explained to us before the trip was true. Excellent location for the CanAm Hockey tournament, (can't be much closer unless you stay in the arena), Great hospitality, extremely pleasant personnel at the desk. Can't wait to see everyone again. THANK YOU.
“Wonderful will definitly return!!”
This is a wonderful hotel. Great price good food very friendly staff. This views are spectaculor of Mirror Lake and the hotel is environmentaly friendly.
“We wiil be going back”
The Hotel was great. Had a problem with inaccessability to a parking garage due to a 6" sheet of ice on a steep ramp with a curve in it. A tow truck was required, but the hotel called the truck and paid for it, the service was immediate. The room was fantastic with the most comfortable King bed I've ever experianced. The view was lacking, town view was really a Alley view. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Overall price considered we will go here again, it may become our "regular".

“Wonderful experience”
My husband and I had a last minute chance to go away for the weekend and had a wonderful time at the Golden Arrow Resort in Lake Placid. The Hotel was very clean and the service was great. The room had a great view and the bed had fluffy down blankets. We had a great time and will go back very soon.
“TERRIFIC”
Hotel was extremely dog-friendly. Had every convenience to make staying with our two golden retrievers clean and most enjoyable. We stayed in a room specifically designated for pets and the room was extremely clean and fresh smelling. I never traveled with our dogs before but this certainly made me want to do it again.
