“We will return relatively soon. It was great!”
Great!!!
“Generally excellent”
Room was very clean and nice - but overlooked indoor pool, which we had not been told. I do NOT like rooms like that and think people should be given another option. Dining options were not clear. We were told in bar area that dinner was being served there - thought the other dining room was closed but discovered later it was not. Service was slow but bartender, who made and served drinks and handled our dinner order as well as others, was overworked. Blame management for that, not the staff. He was very pleasant as were all staff. Very nice hotel. Beautiful view form the terrace.
“Exxcellent place to stay in Lake Placid”
Finding the hotel was easy enough. It's very close to downtown Lake Placid but high enough up on the mountain to be away from all the hustle and bustle. Went on a nice 3 mile hike around the Lake on a paved sidewalk. Lots of places to eat, the Boathouse had excellent food and view and the service was great too, although it was a bit pricey but nice for an "occasional nice dinner out with the wife". The hotel room was a suite with most regular amentities, was up on the fourth floor but there was a large wall outside my room window which sort of prevented my view of the mountains. There was construction on the nearby elevator lobby which probably couldn't have been prevented. My main issue was the reception, being somewhat of a germ-a-phobic, the receptionist kept sneezing due to allergies as we were arriving/talking. I understand the person has allergies, I just wish maybe they could have stepped outside, gotten themselves together, taken a claritan or something and then came back to the desk to proceed. Otherwise, the service was very welcoming. The pool and jacuzzi was above expectations, especially liked the wood pool room. The weight room was a bit difficult to find and didn't have as much equipment as I'd have liked, but was good for maintenance. All in all, I'd definitely look forward to staying here again.
“Only place to stay in Lake Placid”
This is a great hotel and, if you get one of the lake view rooms, one with a superb vista. The breakfast buffet is excellent even if the staff are not always the most cheerful in the mornings! This was our second visit and we'll definitely go back there.
“Excellent Hotel”
This hotel exceed my expectations. Very clean, quiet, we upgraded to a room with a view of Mirror Lake fora little extra a night and it was well worth it. It is with in walking distance to shopping & eating. There is a steep hill but for us it was no big deal, if it is for you take the free shuttle that comes to the hotel on a regular basis. This hotel was outstanding can't wait to return.
“Nice Hotel, Great location”
Nice hotel with great view of Mirror Lake and the surrounding mountains. An extra bonus is that it's located right next to the Olympic Ice Centre, perched on a hill. Being next to the spot where the Miracle on Ice game was played is a really cool feeling!
“Great Hotel to stay at in Lake Placid”
We enjoyed our stay very much. Very Clean and comfortable hotel. Nice amenities. The only change to make would be to increase the temperature in the hot tub. I've had bath's warmer than you keep it. We would come back and stay there again.
“fantastic view!!”
hotel has very good location, just at the beggining of the main street in lake placid up on the hill and has a tremendous view of the mountains and the lake. Our room wasnt fancy, but they have rooms with fireplace and balcony, hotel was pretty full and they didnt yave another one available.Hotel is very clean, breakfast was very good too,it seems that its one of the best hotels in lake placid, definetly the best view.
“Love the Top of the Hill!”
The Crowne Plaza is the perfect location when staying in Lake Placid - a spectacular view, walkable to everything, great dining, and great service!
“Great weekend stay”
We came up for Memorial Day weekend and it was great as usual. The staff is very friendly and the room was comfortable and clean.
