“Pleasant, convenient and comfortable hotel”
Pleasant, large airy room with a lovely high sloped ceiling. Close to Mirror lake and downtown. Especially convenient for the Olympic ice rink. Extensive breakfast buffet included in price. We sat out hurricane Irene here quite happily. The bedspreads weren't very clean but otherwise everything was great. I'd recommend it and would stay there again.
“will definitely go back”
The hotel was up to the quality we expect from Best Western. Free breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and large assortment of cold cereals and breads, bagels and toast. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Just great !!
“Great location - friendly staff”
We were very pleased with this hotel. The staff was very friendly. The room temperature was a bit tricky to control, but other than that, very comfortable and very clean. Great location, walking distance to shopping, restaurants, Arena (right accross, etc.... I would return without a doubt!
“One of the Best Places to Stay in Lake Placid”
The Hotel was exceptionally clean the pool and hot tub were outstanding. The location was great for shopping and site seeing in Lake Placid. Walking distance for most of the attractions and there was lake access to Mirror Lake.
“Summer is great in L.P.”
Hotel has a great location. Just a few minutes to downtown L.P. and the public beach on Mirror Lake. This hotel is very clean: our room was very clean and the rest of the property (pool, jacuzzi, living room, and patio garden) were very clean as well. We will gladly stay again.
“Loved it!”
The hotel is well situated, just in front of the Olympic Arena. Behind the hotel is Mirroir Lake. Since the hotel is on Main Street, you are in walking distance of all the boutiques and restaurants. The room was bigger than I expected and very clean. The hotel personnel were very polite and helpful. The breakfast area is big and there is alot to choose from (fresh fruit, toasts, bagels, scrambled eggs, muffins, etc.). We were extremely satisfied with our stay.
“Lake Placid, NY”
Great location. My family and I stayed there during our annual Christmas trip. We had a very nice room only exception was the bed, I felt as if it were too soft. I notified the desk upon check-out and they seemed genuinely concerned. Great breakfast only issue, same thing each day, but still good and a good cost saver. Nice game room and staff was friendly. I would stay again. You can't get a better location for the money.
“Very cozy place”
The hotel is in a very nice location, just across from the beach on the lake and 10 min walking to all the ayytactions of main street. My only no is that they should spesify that the balcony is common, so people just walk by your window, and what is called the patio is just a ground floor outside area with cars just in front of it. But that is not the major thing. Pool is increadble, deep and never crouded, breakfast was not fancy, but oatmeal was great, and coffe was very tasty (for me a very important little thing)Staff was friendly, they will always give us breakfast even if we were late and make an extra pot with coffe. Little gym is well exiped. I am definatly would recomened this place to stay and enjoy Lake Placid.
“very typical, simple but with an adirondack style”
was very clean, quiet if i compare to other hotels that i have been at in Lake Placid. typical of adirondack style. Very good location around town. Near shopping and Lake Mirror. Continental Breakfast was very limited.
“Great Location”
This hotel is located directly across from the Olympic Center, near all the shops and restaurants and across the street from Mirror Lake. The location couldn't be better. My one complaint was that housekeeping did not clean the coffee pot on a daily basis, in fact when I checked in, there was mold growing in the coffee left from the previous guest. Otherwise the room was clean and well kept.
