“Great for fishing!”
A nice hotel conveniently located on the lake. They have a dock out back which was great! We caught lots of fish. The hotel staff was great and the continental breakfast was also...loved the sausage gravy biscuits. We will definitely be returning.
“Friendly & Relaxing”
My husband & I, plus 2 other couples ,chose The Lodge to stay over for their class reunion...The front desk was truly a "courtesy desk" as they went out of their way to please ..It was a nice experience as many hotels don't feel the need to be courteous...

“welcome place to visit off the freeway”
we were on the way t o gatlinburg, tn, and didnt want to take the freeway. we got off at Macon and were very pleasantly surprised.
“A Real Gem!”
Spent several nights at The Lodge the week before Christmas. We were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable our room was...new carpets throughout, new granite bathrooms, very comfortable bed. The hotel in general appears to have recently been renovated. Although our room was not lakefront, The Lodge is situated on Lake Oconee, with a generously sized pool, boat docks, and wonderful lawn area for picnics and playground. The staff was especially helpful about places to visit in the area. Robert even hosed off our car one foggy morning! In an area where there are few reasonably priced hotels, this one is a winner. We will definitely be back soon.

unless you have to I would not stop here, it's a tired Holiday Inn Express which is now in the hands of the bank. The deluxe breakfast was stale.

The hotel itself was nice. It was clean and well kept. The management was not really professional but slightly slack. Could be a nice place if it was kept with a little more class. The breakfast was very skim.

When I arrived in my room, a used pizza box with partially eaten pizza slices was still on the table. The room looked clean, but it makes you wonder about the thoroughness of the housekeeper. Otherwise, my stay was pleasant and uneventful.
