"Great lodge on a great lake…"
I highly recommend Moraine Lake Lodge for its accommodations and proximity to the lake. My wife and I went here for our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed the lodge and its surroundings. Of the two lakes (Louise & Moraine), we were grateful we stayed at Moraine Lake Lodge as its lake and surrounding mountains and its hiking trails were more appealing and less touristy.

"OK for a stopover."
Reception staff were very obliging. Our rooms were in a nearby block and upstairs with no lift, so carrying luggage up was difficult. Rooms are small but adequate if you don't want to be unpack. There are three options for eating in. The restaurant had a private coach party in and the pub sounded noisy so we went for the pizza and pasta place. The meal was very average, one dish had to go back because it was luke warm. The replacement wasn't much better. We felt rushed as if they couldn't wait to move people out. Breakfast was much better.

We stayed here for two nights in a Wilson cabin. Customer service was fantastic, very helpful and friendly. Room consisted of double bed with ensuite and kitchen facilities. For us, the bed was small but have noticed this at several hotels in the Rocky Mountains. The bathroom was roomy enough and fixtures were all modern so even though you are in a wooden cabin, there is still a lot of modern twists, it was nice. The cabin did happen to have a lean which you soon got used to and was no problem. Wifi is included but only one passcode per guest so keep this in mind, others can be purchased for a cost. The heating works well but there is no air conditioning, however the cabin stayed warm at night and cool in the day.

"Large room great view "
Room is clean and spacious! The bathroom is very clean and tidy. There's a laundry room also. The only downside is there's no AC I'm the room, and the night we stayed was quite warm. The breakfast is okay. I'd recommend the hotel to anyone spending the day at Lake Loiuse!

"Lovely, rustic hotel"
Personally, I love the rustic, old fashion accomodations at the Deer Lodge. Even though there was a wedding party at the hotel, the night we stayed, it was quiet and relaxing, after a day of hiking in Lake Louise. It's a five minute walk from the Deer Lodge to Lake Louise, which was great as the Lake Louise parking lot was full. There is a lot of history associated with the Deer Lodge, which I found very interesting. However, there are no TV's or air conditioning in the rooms which wasn't a problem for me.

"Superb hotel. Worth the price though rooms small."
Good service, pleasant staff, expensive but the position warrants a premium. It was very hot when we were there. Room was stuffy and small in those conditions.
