“Well past its prime.”

The internet did not work well The suite was not clean - dust and general lack of cleanliness The sheets on our bed were not overly clean - I am hoping it was only water spots on the sheets. The coffee bags for the coffee maker had been opened and used . The room which was on the main floor was noisy and you could hear other guests conversations and hear people walking overhead. The place could use a renovation.

“Not Impressed - Will not return”

The Sands Resort is a converted small apartment complex from the 70's. We reserved a room with a king bed and pull out couch and got two double beds. The bedroom faced the main road and had to deal with headlights shining in the room and the noise from the street. Next morning no one available at 6:30 to check out and had to leave the key cards on the ground outside the door. The place was okay for the one night we stayed but will not stay again.

“Not What I Expected”

I would recommend this hotel IF you know what you are getting before you go. The front desk person, Jennifer, was extremely helpful and even helped us carry our many bags up the flight of stairs to our room (no elevator on premises). The hotel used to be a small 2-story apartment building with the pool in the middle of the complex. Almost every door opens up to the pool. The pool was "heated", but was still pretty chilly. The jacuzzi was a portable one which held 2-3 people max & had to be climbed into and wasn't nearly hot enough - not even bathtub temperature. The room we originally checked into smelled of smoke even though the room was supposedly non-smoking. We were given another room when I brought the smell to their attention. The new room was very clean and comfortable and had a well-equipped kitchen.

“Hotel from hell”

room was not ready until 3:30pm, check was at 1:00pm .After getting our room, the maid showed up to get her food out of the refridgerator. The refidgerator made lots of noise. Small 20in. TV's and the one in the bedroom's remote did not work. Burned out light bulbs in the bathroom and the floor made so much noise when you walked on it , it sounded like you were going to fall through. I would never stay at this hotel again.

“A big disappointment”

The rooms were old not very clean. The pool wasnt anything to write about it hardly gets any sun. The facility itself was dirty and the linens looked overly used. More of a pay by the week or month place not like a hotel at all... Very disappoint will never stay there again.

“Ugh...”

Our stay at this hotel was very unpleasant. First the Hotel staff wanted to be able to leave early so they would kick us out of the pool before closing time so they could head home. Then on Sunday there was no water. None of us could shower. We contacted the night time manager who was not helpful and only said she heard the same complaint from other guests and she might look into it. We ended up having to shower at a relatives house in the area which was already crowded and the reason we got the hotel to begin with. At checkout I explained about the inconvenience and that the night manager was not helpful. I was told I would receive a call from the Hotel Manager on Monday but never received a call. We will never stay at this hotel again.

“would not recommend”

The structure is very old and smells like old paint and mildew. It looked like it had not been updated since 1970. We cut our stay short after I woke up to a strange black bug crawling on my leg!

“not impressed at all disapointed”

room was very dirty, linen with big stains were probibly not changed after previous guests left, we arrived late that night, could get a hold on anybody that works at the hotel. We put the shirts on the pillows and slept like that. Next morning they gave us another room. with the comments we had "the worst room in the hotel". Why? The new room wasn't much better either. Few(about two) big stains on the linen. The pullout couch was dented and our son had to sleep on the bottom half of the bed.
