“Great place!”
Great place to stay,nice little town.friendly people.
“Excellent and Cozy Bed and Breakfast”
Nancy and Larry were excellent hosts. They were so accomodating and friendly. Wonderful hot tub and the winter room is perfect for a ski bum like myself! Schroon Lake is a beautiful town with many excellent dining options nearby. It is an excellent place to stay because many other towns are all closed up in the winter off season.
“A pleasant stay”
Stayed in the Winter Room for two nights in July '09. Not a huge room but for just reading in bed and sleeping, it was fine AND it was clean! The breakfasts were wonderful and like everyone has mentioned before, there was enough food (and it was delicious) to eliminate lunch for the day. The Inn Keeper was personable and knowledgable about the area. The Inn is just down the road from "downtown" Schroon Lake. I though it was a bit of a walk but by car it only takes a minute or two. From the Inn, it took about 20 minutes to hit Lake George, 1/2 hour to Fort Ti and about 45 minutes to Lake Placid. So, it's a good central location. All in all, I'd stay at the Tumble Inn again without hesitation.
“Wonderful”
A beautiful place to stay in a great area. Can't wait to go back, will definately stay longer next time.
“Location plus and minus”
The hosts of the Tumble Inn made every effort to provide a fine bed and breakfast experience. They were very friendly helpful and accommodating people. Breakfast was superb and generous in the extreme. The room was clean and attractively decorated with a feminine touch. It was very convenient to our next stop, but ironically that was a problem. Highway 9 out of the Adirondacks that passes through Schroon Lake is very busily traveled day and night by large trucks as well as automobiles. Sitting on the attractive screened porch was rendered unpleasant by the grating of gears, brakes, and engine noises. For me the a/c masked the noise but even the thoughtfully provided ear plugs did my spouse no good.
