“Wouldnt go back”

When my mom first arrived our room smelled aweful! She asked to move to another room due to the smell of the first. The front desk switched us two rooms down. When my husband and i arrived a few hours later my mom told us this room still smelled, so we walk in and it had the worse cat pee smell EVER! And the bathroom molding was molding!!! I went back to the front desk and demanded a different room and that I wanted to see it before we switched again. She did so and the third room was in the newer building and was much better. Clean and smelled better! The manager of the hotel excused the cat pee and mildew rooms by saying they are the most popular and hard to keep clean.....Not such a great excuse!

“Can't wait to go back”

I will always pick travellodge when in lake George. The rooms are very clean and the people very professional. I love their free breakfast. A great place to stay.

The only complaint I have is they dd not have thier pool open and the temp was in the 90's on wed and thurs. Would have been nice to go for a swim.

i paid so much for nothing. booked three rooms. my family was so unhappy. my money went down the drain. extremely upset and dissatisfied!

“Walls and floors are too thin”

Very noisy. We could hear every word spoken in the room above us.......ALL night. Breakfast was stale and no cream for coffee, only milk or coffee-mate. Make your own waffles, not worth the trouble. They could've at least offered real NY maple syrup for them. Upon check out, several other patrons had lists of complaints as to being charged for things they didn't use. So be careful and check your bill. Only positive: Nice view and good location.

Average hotel for the price. Area is more expensive than need be. Food ok,parking terrible.

“Worst Hotel Experience Ever”

I paid for two rooms and upon arriving at 2:00 pm they would only give us one. We finally got the second room at midnight. The staff was rude and not at all sympathetic to our dilema, especially the manager. The rooms were sub level and smelled of mold and mildew. I would not recommend staying here.

Overall this hotel is a great value. The hotel is located up on a large hill which offers a beautiful view of Lake George and the surrounding mountains. Although the facility was on the older side and the decor a bit dated, the room was clean and the staff was courteous. The morning waffle breakfast was unexpected and excellent! The large pool was also well maintained and very relaxing. If you are looking for modern, luxurious lodging with endless amenities, this is not your hotel. However, if you are a budget-minded traveler looking for a clean, quiet, and comfortable place to rest after a long day of exploring the beauty of Lake George, add the Travelodge to your list.

“Rooms need updating”

My favorite part was the Belgian waffles and eating breakfast outside on the lovely wrought iron table and chairs overlooking the Lake George view. Very impressive view, indeed! The service at the breakfast buffet was terrific! I was disappointed in the old and in-need-of-renovation bathroom, the very hard mattresses, and the fact that our room card needed to be re-set 3 times during our 5 day stay. There was a terrible musty odor when the air conditioner kicked on that only I noticed, but nonetheless, it was very unpleasant. We were hoping for a heated outdoor pool, but many of us could not use it since the water was very cold. The staff in the lobby were always very nice and accommodating. We loved using the little coupon deals which saved us a few bucks here and there. If you're looking for the cheapest rates around, everything considered, this is the place to be!
