“Ok if you need a place to stay with your pet”
The hotel is located next to the Northway in NY. It was not that noisy mainly because of the air conditioning unit which blocked out a lot of the traffic noise. It was centrally located to Lake George, the outlets and other key locations in the lower Adirondack region. The hotel rooms were ok. We were traveling with two other couples and there were no commonalities between rooms. One couple had a refrigerator, microwave and Lazy boy, whereas the other two rooms were barren. The doors on the rooms close loudly and there were always people going in and out of their room at all hours. The drain in our shower was clogged and the free breakfast in the morning was sub par. The only real reason we stayed there is because they allow pets, but when I called to ask them they failed to mention the extra fee for pets.
“Gross”
Our check in was ridiculously easy, and the staff was nice. Location was perfect, but the good points stop there. As someone else said, our room REEKED of mildew. The carpet felt wet, and the shower didn't drain. There were no towels in our room (none at all), and the tv wouldn't even turn on.
“Good but needs more maintenance”
Location is great. But the non-smoking room smells, musky smell. The bed cover needs to be replaced and washed. Room air-conditioning unit is too noisy and loud.
“Will never come back”
The hotel was surrounded by construction and a lot of dust. Hallway smells. Rooms have no microwaves or fridges. Breakfast is the worst I've ever seen. Everything is old. They only have one microwave on a common area and it looks like it's 100 years old. Not pleased at all with this hotel. We almost checked out sooner. We looked around and found much nicer hotels for just a bit more.
“Not good.”
The room was smelly, the carpet extremely dirty, everything looked old. My kids had hard time falling asleep from the smell.
“Adequate, but some problems.”
The hotel was adequate, but no more. An odd smell permeated the halls, though it wasn't in the room. When I checked the mattress, I discovered a large number of sesame seeds spread along the edge seam and scattered over the ticking. I presume someone was trying to make it look as if the mattress had bedbugs. They weren't bugs, obviously, but that they were there indicates that the bed hadn't been properly made. The hotel is ok if you need an inexpensive place of the I-87 near Glens Falls, but it isn't a first choice.
“lousey”
The sign on door to enter lobby says NO SMOKING. Walking into the lobby smells of smoke. The windows are open because of the smell(in the lobby). It was late when we returned to hotel after a nice day in Lake George and had a room that was awful. Walking up the stairs to the second floor was a nightmare with the smell of smoke. The room was dirty and the towels flet like sandpaper. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. I throught that is was a law that all hotel/motels in New York were NO SMOKING.
