“AWESOME TIME!!!”

My family of four had the best time. Waterparks were perfect.. Could have been a little warmer but family still had a blast. Can't wait to go back.

“kid's loved it!”

The kids had a ball at the inside waterpark. It was great to know that there are a lot of lifeguard so they were able to go there without us. The adults also enjoyed.

“Going back as soon as we can!”

This was our first time at the Great Escape. We are a big family: mom, dad and 5 kids, ranging in age from 16 to 14 months. The room was just big enough and we got a portable crib for the baby. We will probably upgrade to a slightly bigger room next time but for personal preferences and not for lack of space. There was something for everyone at the indoor waterpark, the 3 older kids loved the slides and the boogie board and the 2 little ones had a blast in the area designed with them in mind. The staff was friendly, courteous and very helpful with questions we had about local dining and attractions. The kids got such a kick out of bumping into Scooby Doo and Marvin the Martian in the lobby. I read a lot of negative comments about Johnny Rockets, service was a little slow when we sat down but was addressed by the staff and we didn't experience any delays after that. The prices were reasonable, comparable to burgers and shakes in a NYC diner, and the food was delicious. I loved the chicken tenders.

“great hotel, fun for kids”

my family and I just spent the weekend at this hotel with friends of ours who had been there last year(so return trip for them) the rooms were clean, my kids loved the indoor water park, the staff was very nice and eager to please. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. the only thing that I did not like is the restaurant. last year when we went to Lake George we ate at the restaurant that was attached to the hotel. the decor matched the hotel decor, the food was fantastic, service was great and the breakfast buffet was out of this world. this time when we actually stayed at the hotel we found out they changed the restaurant to a place called Johnny Rockets with 50-60's style diner. what a crappy place to eat, not only did the service totally stink(you wait forever to get a waitress and if you order coffee by the time you get it you're lucky if its luke warm) the food was horrible, the portions small, and for breakfast(for those of you who can obtain "vouchers" for breakfast) you get 5 choices and thats it and even that is way overpriced. there is no childrens menu which also suprised me since the hotel is most definitely "family orientated" Let me tell you that the waitresses are more interested in dancing to some song on the juke box then taking your order. I can't stress how awful the food or service was in this place.

“Had a great time.”

We just returned home yesterday after spending 3 nights at The Great Escape Lodge. I consider myself a picky traveller to some degree and have no complaints with this hotel. I suppose my only complaint would be we weren't there long enough. The hotel had so many activities for the kids, the waterpark and an arcade...we just didn't have time to enjoy everything. We didn't eat at the hotel because other reviews had mentioned how expensive the restaurants were. The town of Lake George is great with all amenties just a few minutes drive from the hotel. From outlet malls, great restaurants, drive-in movie theatre and mini golf galore. The theme park is also a short walk from the hotel. My kids, aged 3 and 7 loved every minute. Does miss an ice cream cone from Martha's...just a tip...the medium cone consisted of 10 inches of ice cream piled on a cone, it's heavy and defies gravity, but wonderful on a hot night. Everything about this trip was great. We highly recommend it!

“Great for Kids”

If you are traveling with kids, this hotel is great -- the indoor water park was fantactic -- clean, well staffed and plenty big! Your kids will never want to leave the hotel, but when you do the Six Flags park is accross the street and Lake George is just minutes away

“Just too much..”

The room was huge, I wasnt ready for such a large and neat room. The hotel room had a Bear theme, that filled the room with a "woodsy" feel. I loved the carpet in the hallway, very bright and colorful. Breakfast was a bit expensive at the Corner Coffee Stand. The indoor waterpark was massive and very enjoyable. Cool changing areas, and many showers and lockers. Over all the trip was very nice and pleasant, staff was very helpful. I would recommend people of all ages to come, not just with the kids.

“great for kids”

Obviously , this is for the kids. They want to go back, onlu hotel' guest can play in the waterpark , so , not that many people and no waiting lines. The only problem ,09h30 in the morning for the cleaning crew to knock on the door, they came back 3 times between 09h30 and 11h00 , they want us out quick , don' t even try to extend 10 minutes , 2 ladies were waiting at my door telling me to leave....kids have to be out of the waterpark by 11h00 the day after( they have bracelet to control who could be in the park)we showed up late the day before 05h30 PM , so I don' t know if we could have oplayed in the park before our check in ( 04h00 PM)PRETTY STIFF WITH THE CLOCK , DON' T LIKE BEING PUSH AROUND WHEN i AM ON VACATION .But like I said , this is by far my kids favorite hotel.
