“In the woods!”

Beautiful enviroment on a large piece of property, away from all the noise in town. Wake up in the morning and stroll the grounds before breakfast. A wonderful feeliong of old elegance and history. I could almost hear the sounds of summers past, full of laughter and joy. I left behind my presence and a new hope for many more years. Give it a shot and you will see what i mean. Freindly staff, and Todd and i had a few laughs, that i enjoyed immensely..........he is the bar-tender.

“Avoid this place!”

Room smelled of BO! Overall run down appearance. Must have been nice in its day but it needs lots of loving renovation.

“Decent place for 1 or 2 day stay”

It is a nice place and very good environment around the hotel. I will suggest my friends too., But the Water heater was not proper and there are no microwave oven or Refridgrator.

“definitely returning!”

We loved the family friendly atmosphere, location, and offered activities here. We took part in the horse back riding and thoroughly enjoyed it! It's a very short drive from town and feels so peaceful! Bring your friends, family and even your pet and enjoy this pleasant somewhat kitschy step back in time! Highly recommended for families that are interested in spending quality time together and enjoying a laid back vacation. Can't say enough good things about the front desk staff either! You simply don't find service like this anymore! They allowed us a very late checkout so we could enjoy our breakfast and ride without feeling rushed. This was a last minute change of plans trip as we were supposed to be on the ocean for the weekend. This place made us happy that we had to change our plans! That's pretty impressive! Thank you!!

We loved the Goonie Golf right down the road as well as the dinner boat tour. The shops are great as well!

“Nice but dated”

On the good side, this resort has some nice amenities like an indoor pool and tennis courts. The setting is lovely and it is much quieter than any of the hotels in Lake George proper. The staff was friendly and helpful. On the down side the facilities are dated. The decor and furnashings have not been updated since the 1970s. It is in desparate need of a makeover. My matress was hard as a rock and the comforter was old an ratty. The worst part was that the old carpet was laid directly on the cement slab so that moisture wicked through to it. The whole room had a damp, musty smell and feel. Overall the hotel was adequate but I would recommend staying in one of the second floor rooms to ensure a dry floor.

“Not impressed”

We rented 3 hotel rooms with 4 other people. Each room had a nasty smell. We found wrappers on the floor in the bathroom and beside the bed. The outdoor pool was very nice and the location was great.

“Not that great”

The grounds of the hotel were expansive and the hotel staff were... ok. The problem was the room itself. Not clean and extremely musty smelling. If you have any breathing difficulty (asthma) do not stay here. I did not expect much from a last minute booking and I was not disappointed.

The town of lake George was a lot of fun! You must visit the Haunted House and the Wax museum!

Very run down. Found a dead lizard type creature in the pool. Smelled bad.

“Relaxing surroundings”

Bed was hard but other than that we enjoyed our stay. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Lodge great room needs updating.

“Roaring Back-Lake George”

With all the amenities on site made it very convenient. Many things for young children to do, swim, horse back ride, etc. I would recommend this hotel.
